Help needed with evading throw escapes

I did do a search on this and got about a gazillion pages back, none of which were obviously about this technique.

I'm currently trying to do a Quest order that requires me to do 5 evading throw escapes, with at least 3 successful throw escapes.

Now, I have evaded many times, and put in my throw escape commands as I believe you're supposed to. All that ever happens is I evade, and then throw the opponent. This never increments my quest order number.

I assume I'm doing it too slowly, but in VF4 I was able to do evading throw escapes no problem. Also, it doesn't say it has to be a multiple throw escape so I'm not even trying that.

And what does it mean by three successful escapes? Does this mean the opponent has to attempt to throw me as I evade, because that never happens! You can only evade a striking attack, right? And it seems that then you have the advantage so they obvioously won't be throwing you...

I just don't get it. There was a previous quest order that was very similar but only needed 1 successful escape, I got through this but I'm not sure how, as I was doing the same things I am doing now.

You've already answered your own problem in the second line of your post.

You DO need to input multiple TEs, ie you need to enter 3 successful TEs. I find it easiest to do
    [2] > [2][P]+[G] > [6][P]+[G] > [P]+[G]
ie the quest requires you to do E -TTE. You don't have to escape any throws at all, just evade and input threes successful TEs.

Had you checked the boards in the right place you would have found this

    http://virtuafighter.com/view.php?section=vf4&file=vf4evo_quest_faq.html

which is all you need to know about Quest mode.

    Wait a minute!

I stayed there till I get 40 wins, then I only got 3. I try to do it, but I can't do it anymore! What's the problem?

If you got it once you can get it again... just set the game as standard mode and feed a [P] to a blocking opponent, then as was mentioned before, do [2] ~ [2][P]+[G] ~[6][P]+[G] ~ [P]+[G] or whatever 3 throw esacpes you're most comfortable with.

Thanks! Do I have to evade an attack after I press [P], though?

dont evade after your [P] is blocked, it will always be a failed evade (it leaves you at an advantage if blocked). Do something like [3][K] or [6][P] before evading.
