1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. Finally got to touch vf4 after a 4 year hiatus...
    went down AMK funland today

    aniway on lau:
bb-p d-p does not seem to work reliably OTB and issit me or has the execution framerate increased?

the new b-p ,k move looks like it has good float potential with d/p ppk followups but i found b-p, with its long execution time is too eaily interuptable

Has anyone found a use for laus b-p+k or d-p+p I didnt really get the chance to experiment with them

Lastly does anyone know of any good followups to b-f p after a stumble throw?

Any forthcoming help would be greatly appreciated

I've never played VF4, so I don't know how hard or easy the followups are. A couple of b, d P G ->b, f P followups are listed. I don't know if you have done this already, but try a few combos from VF3/VF3tb. You have nothing to lose.

    And here's another link:

You are right, Lau's bb-p, dp is no longer an OTB combo, but df-p, p, p, dk will connect most of the time in VF4.
Other than the new f-pk move(MC--> df-p, p, p, dk), I've found the b-p, k and most of his new moves to be "useless".
    Also, IMO:
    1. Lau's upknife has sort of powered down in VF4, way too easy to interrupt it now.
    2. His f, dk sux big time now.
    3. Lau also does not have much priority after fp, p hits.

    Hi Arahat

I'm Akira and I play a lot of Lau and basically after the b d+p+g and b f+p you can either follow up with df+ppp d+k or p b+p p. These are the only two I know so far. I have to experiment some more to see if there is anymore followups.

Always a great feeling to defeat a worthy opponent!

Once in a while, I'll visit Bedok Funland. Is the AMK machine 2 or 3 rounds?

the AMK machine is 2 rounds at 2 credits per play

anyway thx for the input guys, from what i gather it sounds like vf4 lau has been nerfed to a significant degree and the new moves don't add much dimension to lau's original gameplay...hopefully AM2 will add some new changes before the final version is out..
    Cheers:)

I think you need to play/experiment more, personally.
