Hey kids, quick Evo Lau question

The nature of Lau's tiger stance totally eludes me. I've downloaded lots of clips, done searches, and i absolutely cannot find a description of the stance.

What does it look like? And how useful is it? I don't see anyone using it in the media... Does it change the way he's played?

It's not a very significant addition to Lau. There are only three moves that can be done from his new stance. One of them looks similar to his + move and hits mid high mid. He can also do a mid level kick and a high level punch attack from the new stance. It's mainly used in combos or to vary his series of attacks. /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif

I think the moves in tiger stance are pretty useful, actually. There are a lot of different ways to get into it (after f+P,P; K+G, D/F+P,P,P+K+G etc). The tiger P+K is a great move; although it's high, if it's guarded it staggers (b, f+P) and if it hits you can do d/f+PPPd+K or other stuff. The P,P,P+K is also nice. The first 2 moves will combo on normal hit, and the 2nd and 3rd hits will combo if you get a counter with the 2nd. The last hit is like his new D, b, f+P and allows combos like D/F+PPb+PP etc.

I think tiger stance is what makes Evo lau interesting.

I might actually pick up Evo Lau as a character again. He needed lots more variety, IMHO. This'll help. Thanks to all!

 

a decent combo is b+P+K,P+K+G (goes to tiger stance) -> (tiger stance) P,P,P+K

works on everyone if the first hit MCs, final hit slams, for a difficult tech roll.. if the opponent fails the TR/QR u can df+K them for 13 more damage (72 damage i think for the normal combo)
