How about an FT style solution for VF5: R?

    Hello!

I'm my ever decreasing yet still somewhat big n00bness, I realised only today that FT allowed to choose the movelist of each (or maybe only some) characters.
Basically, the same commands would result in older moves.

    e.g., for Akira

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif could be either the mid punch or the old style elbow
/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif~/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif could be either the standing knee or the Jeffry style jumping knee (same as VF2)

I think that slightly different versions of the same would be a good way to satisfy everybody.

Any thoughts (if the mods agree with the "realm of fantasy" element of this topic)?

I think Sega experimented in FT with customisable movelists, having two per character. Personally, I didn't care for the idea and I'm glad Sega didn't take it further, would probably just end up being a nightmare to balance.

That would be cool to have as an extra game mode of sorts.

I do not know if a Final Tuned style will work because players, such as me, will want removed strikes and throws to be in a next installment of the game. However, lets just see on how Sega will manage it.[/size]
