How can this happen?

Hey Nazi @Myke, @Chief_Flash and I were talking about this and we did not have an answer. Can you enlighten?

Years ago during some major event @Chief_Flash did a punch vs. @Denkai's raising attack, and somehow the P scored MC on the raising attack, how is this possible? My understanding is raising attackduring execution frames is invulnerable, and therefore can only be MCed during hit detection, which requires a move with higher base damage. P is lesser damage than raising attack. How is this possible? This was VF5.

I do like FS waay more then Vanilla and 4 EVO. R was pretty good. I would have enjoyed it more if i could play on stick but I it's a close second to FS.
