How did you find VFDC

Thought it would be interesting to see how you guys came about this website. for me, i was enjoying the hell outta the game and thought...there has to be some sort of message board that would be interesting to read and post on.

Also, anytime a noob online is asking for advice i send them info on the website. i have even seen some of them join up.

 

Really, before 5 came out I decided I wanted to learn the game and just searched for an internet based community like SRK/DoACentral/TZ/Caliburforum etc. And this came up /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

 

googling for ex2 reviews.

 

I Brought VF4:Evo and wanted to get info on strategies and combos, and i stumbled across the site by accident. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

 

I think I just googled "virtua fighter" back around when 5 first came out. That, or I found a link on SRK, been too long to be sure anymore.

 

I was remembering the days of the VF and VF2 ASCII FAQs, and typed VF5 FAQ into Google. VFDC was at or near the top. The rest is history.

 

back in the 90's while searching for VF info online. It was before VF4 came out. Decided to join after VF4 came out though. Way back in the day this site used to have info on VF Kids.

 

Lurked for years, but never join. Google is my friend, like Jesus is to fish......Something like that.

Not to sound cocky or anything i can't remember how the hell i found this site. I think i peeped somebody's gamertag and it had the address in it.

 

i was on the gamefaqs/gamespot vf5 forum for a while. i played online against kingofcarnage back in january 08 and he mentions if i was on vfdc. Got interested about vfdc i decided to google it on my ps3 internet browser, checked the site and registered.

 

I was guided to this site way back in my early VF5 Online days after getting beat by some of the professional here.

 

I've been on this place since forever. I used to follow this on interest groups.

It was in early 2000, but I forgot how. It was either from a forum reference or the search engine. I decided the join a couple of years later.

 

I don't remember the details very well, but Lars made a page when VF3 had just come out in Japanese arcades and I can remember the pics/screenshots of the game on his site. How Dodee got control of it at the time, I don't remember, but that website (vfhome) ultimately became the IRC channel - hence the name.

This forum, however, morphed from the ACPC, really - "Anti Chicken Player Club" that JeffMaru (aka Ice-9) had up and running. It was to a certain extent the first web based VF evolution from RGVA. I do remember sending Ice-9 $10 to help register the domain and voila, here we are.

 

Someone Coroo Dolphin I believe... told me about this site. I lurked for a looong time before finally joining up.

 

DaBadSeed referenced me earlier this year and now I sport the name in my gamertag

 

That is AWESOME. I remember printing out like 60 pages on my high-school's shitty printer so that I could get all of the VF2 FAQ to my house (where we didn't yet have an internet connection). I remember that FAQ even mentioned the easter egg where you could make a bird appear on one of the stages, and I believe fly onto Jacky's shoulder... or something to that effect.

I came across the site because after the first night I bought the game, I wanted to read about the game rather than work. So that's what I did the next day /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

 

Somebudy told me this site when I was playing KwonHo game in ijji.com (that game was similar game with VF, and I wanted play human VS human)

So I knew about this site before I get my account. but you know i do hate english, so didint join at the first time.

somebudy told me again when I was playing VF5-online. maybe it was Rodney, werent you? Or was it JHow? cant remember...

Anyway, I had really fun match with Adam, Jesse, Rodney or some others. Because I haven't play VF long time, I mean human VS human. not VS cpu.
