How do I get his black linen pants?

Maybe you should be a bit more specific about what your after. But you'll basically get items in one of two ways, through item battles in quest mode or DLC. Or it's something you've seen on a diff version of vf and is not in the game.

 

Hey Digger. Thanks for responding. I fought a Jeffry in quest mode that wears black linen pants and I wanted to know how to get them. I am using the xbox360 version. Are they items you get after reaching the upper levels or are they dlc or something.

 

Just keep playing quest mode, I'm pretty sure they're are not DLC so keep playing the tourneys and collecting orbs and you'll find them.

 

you can get costume items by
- as a reward (treasure chest) from a random match
- collecting 10 orbs (remember to buy new orb disk once you get that)
- as a reward for reaching certain rank (like 1.dan)
- as a tournament reward
- downloaded content.

DLC is propably well documented by now and hidden somewhere in this forum. Theres not much there, usually only few different colored items from other quest items.

 

Black Linen Pants is one of the first 'green' jewel items for Jeffry.

I didn't think they dropped in a specific order.

If it's from an item battle then the baloon trick is your best bet.
