How do players rank in America? (good players reply only please)

Ok...i've played with a lot of the US players myself, and would like to drop some info on you people. MY LIST OF TOP US PLAYERS BASED ON AND EFFORT IN LEARNING THE GAME SINCE VF4.

#1 IMF
#2 BLOND_ONE
#3 SHOU
#4 MADDY
#5 DRE
MY TOP 15 LIST OF THE STRONGEST US PLAYERS

# 1IMF - I give #1 to imf, because he is the best US player when it comes to knowing how to punish and fight against all characters.

#2 Adam - Adam did death match imf in Florida and did come out on top, but i'm making my list on the players knowledge and skill of vf. His style is simple and straight to the point. If you get knocked down, you will lose.

#3 SHOU - BACKDASH DRAGON CANNON. The best setup known to men. PLUS HE READS A LOT. LOL

#4 Maddy - The fastest korean style US player. His akira will have you wondering when is it safe to attack.

#5 Rodney and Nelson, i give you guys both #5 because you guys are strong players, but i've never seen you fight vs each other to see which is stronger. I do think i have more trouble fighting Konjou nizzle though. Good stuff.

#6 AndyKun - People say that you steal your flow charts from kaz. Which is mostly true. LOL. Somethings you do use that aren't from kazu's list of flow charts. Like random uf+k =) and i make you #6

#7 Namflow - I haven't played you in a loong time. I know you must've improved since playing in Japan, but i don't know how much you've been playing since then. You did win TiT however!

#8 Dre - Another very strong akira player, and can play more characters than even i at a pretty good US lvl.

#9 Blond_One - Used to be the #1 US jacky who trained with imf and me. He still has his skills, and i'm sure he will be back soon. I give him the #9 spot

#10 KTD - Very good leifei, but only at attacking. I think he'd be more of a threat to people if he worked on learning how to punish attacks and throw escaping.

#11 Shang - I know i haven't played you, but i've seen you play, and you have a lot of knowledge about vf. From what i've heard you are pretty damn good from good players.

#12 LonelyFighter - Very fun guy to play against, and has a good shun. Next time i want you to own me!

#13 Jerky - Jerky is a good jacky player that loves to use f+p,p and k+g, d+g+g in open stance is it? =) He doesn't play much anymore, but deserves credit. Also has trouble in tournaments.

#14Srider - Good lau player...haven't played you much, but you get #14

#15 Stomp - LOL...if you play stomp don't tech roll. He guesses right more than the average VF player. Also a fun person to play against.

#15 SuprG - Haha...i only played your jacky and shun a few times in september. You're style is crazy, but you get wins. Hehe

The no namers...make your name known. If you just want to pop in this thread and talk shit, go ahead. Nobody cares.

Now with all this said...i've never played or seen much of the westcoasters, but i do know some of you guys are pretty good. Spotlite, mike90210, the leifei player, can't remember his name right now, and some guy that plays pai named andy over there?

80% of the people on this list have gotten extremely better since you last played them if you haven't been to any gatherings since september. So don't be thinking they are at the same skill lvl as the last time you played them. I don't think the US is better than the Japanese or Koreans at VF. I do think most of you guys are able to compete with the average players and maybe score 1 or 2 wins on the Star players /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Anyways keep the US VF scene strong. This list is totally in my opinion thing. If you don't like it....well, that's too bad.

LOL good one shang. Imf has stopped playing vf for now. I don't play vf much in Bermuda either. I stopped playing for like 2 months. VF doesn't leave you easily.

Lets see the top WestCoasters off the top of my head Spotlite, The Goat, Andy, Wes, Joon, PD, Joey, and Mike 90210 if he if comes back from the darkside. Btw that isn't in any certain order.

This is a MOOT point to rank players since I can count the top players limited to both hands.

For someone to be a top player I would have them pass three criteria.

#1 Knowledge of gurantees, you should know what to do and when to do it.

#2 Proficent use of Defensive Techniques.

#3 Ability to see and use stance combos. It strikes me as rediculous how anyone could be considered a top player without being able to maximize combo damage.

Without these three no one should be considered a top player unless our standards are much lower than the rest of the EVO playing world.

Knowing these three things also shows a players capacity to get better. Some simply never develop the ability to see stance or they get stuck with bad habits and never take advantage of guaranteed situations.

So the top players can be counted to less than 10.

Shota
NYC (we are 1 player just to piss Shang off)

Some people that you might think don't have the winning ability to be listed as top players I listed because they have the above top 3 points and within a month of practice any of these players can pass one another.

I hope more people would play the game but that above list contains the only people i've ever had to play seriously against AND whom I believe understand all three of these points.

Oh but I will add that Shou is #3, Jerky is #15 behind lonleyfighter and if Shang is better than Shou that makes him #2.....
