How do you jump without attacking?

Hey, I'm kind of a newbie at VF4, and I was wondering how you jump in the air without attacking. It's a mission for Jacky, and I need that glowing bracelet!!!

or must be also hold.

No, I meant WITHOUT attacking. It's a mission, and the only way I know how to jump is by what you're saying, by attacking. How in the hell do you jump WITHOUT it? This has been bothering me for a long time.

 

just dont let go of the attack button
