The most drastic difference to me between Pai in VF5 and Pai in FS is the presence of all the [P]+[K] moves in FS. But honestly, I don't really know how to work them in from a strategic sense. My understanding of Pai is that she has always been about mixups and guessing games but with lower damage combos so she had to "fool you" more often if she wanted to win.

But now these new moves from the [P]+[K] input seem to be a bit more powerful. I wonder if my assessment is correct and that these options give her a bit more of a "power" game in FS. And if so how does one use it.

As always, all advice and commentary welcome.

[3][P]+[K] is great for interrupting things. No range on it, but it's a very good move even without it.

[4][6], [P]+[K] can be used in some different situations. It's slow, but it crumbles on hit, and if you're close enough after connecting you can follow up with a lot of other moves. It's ok to use when your pressuring someone on wake, but it's a complete steppable move so be careful.

[6][P]+[K] is great for mixing up your opponent. You can follow it up with the [P] for more damage, or you can get into her new stance and start with the mind games. It's also something you can use to finish off a combo with.

[4][6][6], [P]+[K] is probably the hardest one to connect, I only try to use this when I have my opponent cornered and I want to go for a wall combo. It's great after staggering your opponent on a wall. It definitely will splat if connected.

[2][P]+[K] can be used to transition into Bokutai, get her into BT after the [K] followup, or go for the third [P] hit (which can be blocked if the opponent sees it coming). [2][P]+[K] leads to some really nasty mixups IMO.

3 P+K to me is amazing when close up. it shuts down so much and on counter hit gives a knock down that can lead to some nice damage. i use it a lot as a flow up poke, a simple p into this can really lead to some mixups

What type of frame situation does it work in? Large disadvantage, small disadvantage, neutral, small advantage, large advantage only.

Does it have an type of evasive properties that make it useful against an opponent with certain tendencies?

I usually use it in neutral. It's a nice long range poke and the first part of the move is safe on block. I'd have to test to see if it's quick enough to be used when you only have a small advantage. I'll also test the evasive properties of it. I THINK it can evade high attacks, but I'd have to double check. GodEater might know though.

[P]+ [K] on counter hit and [P]+ [K] from Bokutai causes the opponent to crouch, which gives you a chance to connect with Pai's low throws. I've been able a pull off this combo in a few matches.

    [P]+ [K] (CH), [3] [3] [P]+ [G], back turned dash, [K], [6] [K]+ [G], [9] [K] [K]

I'm sure it can be optimized to get more damage, but it's a good way to score damage off a counter hit. Also, if you're against the edge of the stage, you'll switch sides with the opponent and land the combo if they don't shake out of the stagger.
