Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. g

    and everything else no use. is this the right way or is the default

    g p
    k the right way?

    i just want to have it set like in the arcade but of course i've never seen how vf5 arcade set up is.

    Well, now that you have the game, the in-game joystick command display should give you a clue /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

    The arcades are set up as:

    P K
    G

    So you're on the right track. But yeah, you could have done it the way Myke said. lol

    for VF4 Evo:
    Dual Shock: Default

    PS2 Saturn:
    P K -
    G P K

    Stick:
    P K -
    G - -

    I'm waiting for my Elecoms, I will try my custom stick and my PS2 Saturn pad with em... if they don't work, I will just use the Six Axis on defauly and save money for a Virtua Stick HG

    I'll probably start using stick for VF5, but right now I'm still using pad with a rather strange (for some ppl) settings:

    L1=(P+K+G)
    L2=(P+K+G)
    R1=(P+K)
    R2=(K+G)
    triangle=(P)
    square=(P+G)
    circle=(K)
    X=(G)
    I sometimes change L1 to something else, but I don't really care about this one /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

    elecoms won't work with vf5 unless the pcb in your stick is a dualshock and has a button to turn the analog on. when you connect a dualshock based controller to the adapter, it is off by default making your joystick not work for whatever reason.

    if you have t5dr, they will work with no problem with pretty much any kind of digital based pcb.

    x-Punch
    O-Kick
    square-Gaurd
    Triangle-Punch
    R1-P+K
    R2-K+G
    L1-P+G
    L2-P+K+G

    I use it as how the game presents it to me. I never bothered to change it. Since then, I just got use to it. Also, I'm probably those weird users who never bothered to play the game with a joystick. I mean, seriously, you must be crazy to pay over 50, 80 even 100 dollars for something like that.

    Crazy, huh? Well I'd bet theres a lot of players on this board who think you're crazy to play VF on a pad.

    Does anyone know if you can change your button settings in the pause menu of VF5? Not that I won't find out myself, soon, but I am rather curious.

    The lack of that feature in Evo really sucked :\

    I personally view it as Only Real Men use the PS3's D-Pad.

    Yes, I though I saw that option when I paused.

    haha. Exactly how do you define a "real man", then?

    I wouldn't say that using D-Pad is the same as being a real man, though I use one. The only reason I do so is beacause when I first tried to use a stick, I was already used to the pad to a point, where I couldn't possibly play better on a stick than on a pad.
    Anyway, whether I am a real man or not is definitely not determined by the controller I use to play VF /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

    And by the way... what does real man mean? And what is the opposite term.... unreal man? WTF? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
