I have a legit question as there is/has been a lot of crap flying around here over this topic.
It is not my intention to point the finger at any person/people with this post.

How can you tell if someone pulled, or if the disconnect was due to PSN?
I'm asking because I don't want to blame anyone for DCing when it wasn't their fault.

There have been times when I got booted at a rather sensitve moment (before I was going to lose the match) and I felt I had to let my opponent know it wasn't me. To me, when I get back to the PSN lobby and soon see my opponent there too I guess it wasn't him but PSN to blame. Is this assumption correct? How do you tell? Do you know only when it happens repeatedly with a person you play regularly?

I think DC's early in the first round, when the match is still anyone's guess, can generally be attributed to PSN, right?

More likely than PSN causing the disconnect, it's your shitty internet + possible wireless combo.

Also there is no sure way of knowing someone pulled the plug intentionally, the only real way is to read into the situation, as in did the disconnect occur when the other player was about to lose and did the just stop doing everything right before the DC.

A puller won't be back in a second in the lobby. If I'm disconnected due to internet circumstances. I'm back in a few seconds and able to challenge my opponent right back.

If somedy pulls. He have to get back online. Wich means he will appear online offline online offline... Cooladdy is making this maybe 40 times in a night... 40 laugh in a night "ahahah he get defeated..."

Unfortunately, as Yomi says, there's no way of telling - even if the disconnect happens just before you win as it could be a coincidence. If it happens with the same person very often, then there's a high chance that it's them doing it intentionally.

If you are about to win 20 times, and got DCed mysteriously those 20 times before you could finish him off, then it's not the internet.
If thousands of players got DCed when they are about to win against that same douche too, then it's not your connection.
And if that fraud happens to be in your friend list and that you can clearly see him quitting the game during the DC, then it's not unintentional.
Apparently on PSN, with wireless connection, you can DC by pushing the PS home button and choose "quit the game" before you take the lose. No need to pull.
