How To Pronounce Aoi's Name?

Pardon my ignorance, but how do you pronounce her name?
Could someone tell the phonemes etc

 

I believe its pronounced Ow-ie. Kinda like how a little kid says I got a "owie" Still confused? Listen to the commentary on some Aoi matches and you'll hear how its pronounced.

 

That's not quite right, truesonic, though I guess hearing it said fast, if you don't know japanese, it might come across that way.

The main difference is you need a hard a at the start. The appropriate sound is to say "ah-oh-ee", and then just speed it up a lot, but you actually have to make all three distinct sounds.
