I signed but we actually had something similar going on the front page. It seems that sega really doesnt give a crap at the end of the day.

I really think Sega would get a better response from VF5R than they did for VF5 if they released it here. The game looks so streamlined. The combos are bigger, and easier. The new throw escape method so anyone can escape at least one direction. The learning curve just doesn't seem as steep now, on top of looking completely badass its a recipe for destruction. Not that I have much to back it up, but I think VF5r could really take off in the states.

It's kind of like what Seth kept saying about SF4. Easy to jump in, play, and do well. Hard to master.

They just need really cool advertisements. And bring back the SEEEGAAAAAAA voice sample.

Agreed. I think more people in the states opt for Tekken because there are always a few easy to use characters. Virtua Fighter on the other hand, to me seems like a game ruled by veterans, and competitive players. VF5R does seem like a neophyte friendly update.

Generally, Sega tends to be extremely Stupid and almost self defeating with their decisions. For example, they killed the Shinobi line of games. They ignored some greats like Streets of Rage. They destroyed the Sonic line of games and just didn't pull a nintendo and either A. release a ton of 2D sonic games for the DS, PSP, or PSN/Live network, or B. Update the game so that it is good in this day and age instead of releasing crap sonic game. They ignored for years their golden axe franchise, and then proceeded to distory it. They fumbled the Iron Man IP, They gave up their football franchise to 2K, which may have ended up being good since they lost the NFL license, and then they didn't allow the PS3s version of Virtua Fighte 5 to be updated for online play or atleast release it on PSN. Finally in light of a good SC4 game, in light of everyone and their mother being in a craze waiting for SC4, they seem to be half assed about releasing VF5 Reloaded on both systems. It is like the No brainer that they sill can't comprehend. They don't even need to release it via a Disc, use the network, have it updateable and things are settle. What a Fall for a once Console maker and software giant.

THEN JUST WHEN ALL HOPE IS LOST FOR THE COMPANY. THEY CREATED THIS http://www.sega.com/valkyria/us/. Valkyria Chronicles. What a great game that is. Too bad, no one supported it.

I was quoting someone talking about sfhd, dont know what happened.

Anyway, The best hope like stated earlier in this thread is that sega will release the game around tekken 6 release date.

Yarp and exactly the same thing happens whenever they make a good game, kind of explains the other 90% of your post.

the reason sega's good games don't get bought is cuz they don't advertise enough here in USA. Can't speak for rest of ya'll cuz I don't see your commericals.

VF5 ver C on 360 still has the best graphics of any game out. VF5 on an HDTV is just a thing of beauty. I think VF5R would have another edge (it has sooo many edges IMHO it's ridiculous they don't release it...) just because it literally will have the best graphics of any game out period.

The animation, backgrounds, clothing, etc. is so amazing in VF5. I think VF3 was the first game to have clothes that could move separately from the characters wearing them; VF always pushes the limits. The VF franchise is all about making the fighting/animation and feel as real as possible. Yes, juggles are not too realistic but they are cool and should be in the game, no doubt.

Every version of VF, the realism has gone up and up, VFR is not an exception. It has all the new crumples, the back flips when you get juggled, the idle animations, the low-wall throws... they added even more to the realism of the game. Maybe some of the customizations are crazy, but that isn't what the game is about.

VF8 will probably look close to real life, if SEGA is smart enough to take it there. I think there's so much they haven't done yet that VF could go on forever. They could add sweat as you fight, bruising or changing idle animations as you're injured. I just think there's so many things SEGA can do to make the game even more "real".

The "realness" is a huge part of VF. The gameplay, moves, movement options and animation look and feel real. It's the only game where you can "become" your character.

At times, when you're in a groove and you're moving well, in and out, dodging and just flowing well in general, you feel like the character is part of you almost; you are at one with them. There is no other game in the world that makes you feel that way. That, to me, is the single greatest thing about VF and something that should be advertised more.

The more you play, the more you "become" your character. It's really true.
