I am gratefull to God that Charlotte has been one of the lucky cities in NC that wasn't affected by the Hurricane. How about our friends in DC, Maryland, VA, PA, Raleigh NC, and other places where Isabelle passed through? Are you guys/gals ok? I hope all is well.

Our state had about 2 mil without power but my house wasn't one except for short stretches. No trees falling on the house either, that'd be...a bummer.

Speaking of trashed homes: While it's usually kinda sleazy, 20/20 had an interesting article on people who build their homes in places where they're begging for trouble. IE on the beach. The government subsidizes insuring them so they pay 1/10th of what they should be, and when the houses get wiped out (water takes out the stilts/pilings during storms, beach sand gradually erodes, etc) they can get 250K back for it, and there's no limit on how many times you can rebuild, let the place get trashed, and reinsure. Because the insurance is relatively cheap for such a nice parcel of land, the beach areas get overdeveloped and when the beach itself starts to go, millions are spent to pump sand (Even though that's a very short term fix, ~5 years). The sand, the insurance and rebuilding costs... taxpayers cover it.

    I remember isabelle.
I was like 17 and my hormones ran wildly.
She was teacher in French in her late twenties, redhead with size D hooters.
She dressed like a slut as well.
    Aaah those were the days.
