1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

We have the room, so even if the tournament turns out like crap lol which it wont, this thing is going to happen. The site is booked and we are set to go.

An update on a few of the prizes coming up for FSB.

Jedi has hooked us up with some sweet sponsorship from logitech, and we've got a good number of controllers and PS2 headsets to give away, as well as a logitech driving force steering wheel. Some neat stuff in all. And Sega might actually throw in some hats for us too. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif As for how these prizes will be doled out, we're still working on some ideas and a little feedback would be welcome. Are ppl more interested in some kind of kumite event in the morning, or would everyone like to see a single man tournament held as well as a teambattle?

    Ideas are welcome.

Hey imf, I am supposed to get a box full of socom strategy guides in my mail box soon. I think 100 of them. I guess they could be door prizes. What do you think? Yeah, not everyone plays the game, but I am sure they know someone who does.

Team battle sounds like the most fun-filled choice, and I think a kumite event would be great for everyone to play each other. Can't we just do everything? /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Teambattle is the name of the game Dre, I'm asking about kumite vs single man tourney. Perhaps we can find a way to fit all 3.

I know. I guess kumite sounds like the way to go. That's my vote.

I have got some ps1, ps2, and gc games brand new and fully wrapped for prizes imf. Just pm me if you think they could be of some help. They are not the highest quality games, but heck, they can trade them in if they don't want the game.

Update!! We've just received 5 copies of VF4 Evo and 50 posters from Sega, to be used as prizes and given away for FSB.

And we'll be able to have pictures and matches hosted on the SOA website.

Sweet. The copies of the game are a great snag but I think more impressive (to me anyway) is the co-operation of the SOA webstie with FSB. That bodes extremely well for future events. Maybe we can look to a time where hosting tournament matches is no longer a "community volunteer" thing but an actual partnership with Sega itself.

    Well done, fellows.

It's great to hear about all the effort being put into FSB. I am now not taking no for an answer and am going to have a fist fight with my boss to get the time off to attend. Wish me luck.

To others: FSB deserves your attendance! If you are able to attend please do so as you can clearly see that this event is gonna rock.

First I miss Evo which was bad enough, and now the FSB is Sega Sponsored and I'm still looking for a decent arcade around here. Super you better go and get yourself a team and represent at FSB. Get Grifter to play VF and take him with you... Go up to Rochester and train him even! hehe

Congrats to the Flordia crew for getting the Sega Sponsorship, that's really freakin' awesome.
