I dentify this Akira Combo

Hello

Im new to the forum and new to VF5.

Im playing with Akira and im having difficulty identifying (And getting owned by) this combo.

The combo im trying to identify is 12 seconds into the video.

It starts off with: + (Daiden Housui)

And ends with:
+ (Tetsuzankou)

What happens in between?

I believe..

 

That would the easier low damage version. The harder, yet more rewarding one is the same but ends in /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif instead of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif.

 

Correct. I had difficulty with that at first but I just calmed myself down and inputted the b f f properly. Then you'll be golden.

Yep, it's the Dragon Lance combo, but I think it is actually was the higher damage version... Akira has two voice files, the low damage one sounds like "hmph!", whereas the high damage one sounds like "ho-aaaahh!", IIRC.

You can also buffer a standing /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif before entering the Dragon Lance combo, for a little extra damage. But yes, really good for ring-outs. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

 

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, dragon lance...works for everyone but heavyweights. I think I understand what you are saying... is it that you think you are supposed to press and hold forward + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif every single time? It's not that way, you basically are holding forward the entire time while you do the three punches. It's really to just scoot you up a little bit each time, increasing the range of the combo.

It took me awhile to figure that one out. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Ohhhhh ok! I just got down practicing it too. Its a really useful combo .
