I hate to ask this but...

Can i please borrow someone's gamesave?

A Freakishy DEPRESSING accident happened where my VF gamesave got Corrupted and I lost my Costumes and $

Now for those of you who are like "WTF? I didn't even KNOW you can use other people's gamesaves!" Well you can, and it doesn't involve Hacking or voiding your Xbox warranty! All you need is a flash drive and a PC (and 360 of course)

If you have:
All 4 Pai or Jeffry Costumes Unlocked
an NTSC/U Gamesave (USA/Canada copy of VF)

or are just curious as to how to do it, PM me, Thank you

 

Could you write down how to do it here? I'm curious, don't meet any of you criteria for chars/loc though sorry.

 

I have all the pai costumes but not the Jeffrey costumes though is that good enough for you.

 

I thought this was the only way to transfer save files from one 360 to another?

Thats 1 way, but with microsoft's new patch that allows USB ports, its MUCH easier and less costly. anyone down to help? send a PM

Okay so what you need are 2 programs

The first is called USBXTAF

This program will be used to EXTRACT the gamesave from the flash drive onto the PC
In order to do that, you must

#1 Plug your Flash drive into your Xbox360

#2 ONLY TRANSFER your VF5 gamesave profile (one only)

#3 Plug your Flash drive into your PC and load USBXTAF

#4 Click File > Open Device - Once you see that you should see a directory called "Content"

#5 Double Click the Content folder and you should get another folder named E0000??????????? (I recommend you write all of these numbers down or save it somewhere for future reference if you ever resign a gamesave to your own profile)

#6 Double click the E0000??????????? Folder and you should be given another folder named 534507EE - THIS IS WHERE YOUR VF5 GAMESAVE IS LOCATED!

#7 Double click the 534507EE folder and extract the file within - it should be called SYSTEM (it may be located inside another folder called 00000001)

CONGRATS! you now have your VF Gamesave copied onto your computer!

Now... this brings me to download nombre 2!
This program is called Modio

This program is MUCH MORE straightforard. All you need to do is
#1 Open Modio

#2 Drag the gamesave of choice onto the program from your desktop or whatever folder you saved it in,

#3 Remember that number i told you that u may want to write down? (E0000???????????)Type that number in the box where you see "Profile ID"

#4 Hit Resign

#5 Hit Save to Device and a window should pop up saying "chose a profile to save it to" - Select your profile ID and plug your flash drive back into your 360!

Enjoy your new Gamesave

 

my save file was recently lost too...

 

So with this we can possibly have all custumes for all characters? Question, do we still keep our names or does it change to the person who shared the profile? This is the greatest thing ever. Then, illgive u save. File when I get home

 

You can only change who the game save belongs too no actually edit the save file it self as far as I'm aware.

 

But, if someone transfer his savefile to another xbox360, isn't it supposed to work only with the profile connected with that savefile? i tryed to see some replay matches made with another profile and it doesn't work with mine.

 

I know that most of you guys have the idea in the back of your mind that you can "Stack gamesaves" - and what i mean is:
One person has a gamesave with Akira and Sarah's stuff unlocked and then gets a gamesave with Kage and Shun's stuff unlocked...

Unfortunately you CAN NOT COMBINE them. This MAY work for other games, but unfortunately this does NOT work for VF.

I got 80 - 90% with most characters, I can try to finish it off but it better be worth it!

You unlock Dural for online play.

feck has a PAL gamesave i beleive. i dont think his will work for us. you guys can give it a shot or you can shoot it to me, pick your poison
