I have the PS3 VF, should I now get the 360?

The debate I'm sure has surfaced. I do realize the 360 version is updated. So, should really get it in addition to my PS3's? If I do so, I will have to invest in a new stick for the 360 as well. I'm sure its worth it, but still, tell me what you guys think I should do.

I agree you should only get the 360 version if you want to play online again anyone simple as that. To just play the game as is just stay with the PS3.

 

Playing online will very much improve your game and if like me you have'nt anyone near you to play against it's worth it's weight in gold. You play against different styles of play and that strengthens your game. Well worth it in my opinion.

 

Dont waste your money. Buying the 360 version now would be too hasty. With VF5 R announced, its just a matter of time before SEGA announces a PS3 version of VF5 R. If VF5R comes to PS 3 AND it's online, your purchase of VF5 360 and 360 sticks would be a waste. If VF5R becomes a 360 exclusive, then you should wait for that. Either way, the best thing to do now is wait to see how the events of the year unfold.

 

Isn't it like $10 now in the U.S? I know the game for 360 is hella cheap here. If he already has a 360, course he should buy the game again.

 

He doesnt have to just buy the game, he needs sticks too. It will be a wasted investment if VF5 R gets announced in 6 months for PS3, a system he already has sticks for.

I mean he obviously is'nt an xbox live junky like me, else he wouldve bought vf5ol 4 months ago. Like someone said you can sell the ps3 version and get this one, then sell the current version for VF5R.

when i had a choice between ps versus saturn? i chose saturn, and i still own vf1remix, and vf2.

got a dreamcast for vf3.

when vf4 came out, i bought ps2. vf4 and vf4 evo are the ONLY games i own on ps2. everything else, my friend hooked me up with.

when vf5 hit ps3, i bought ps3. again, vf5 was the only game i owned on ps3.

when vf5 hit 360, i SOLD my ps3 for $500 and bought the 360. ultimately, i saved money!

I admire your purity....

As a playstation only player, I only hope sega is as loyal to
the playstation owners as you are loyal to VF. Which means we should be getting online play for PS3 (I heard online has value).

 

Here's to hoping that everything you've said is true. I just bought a PS3 in early February, and today I find out about VF5-R (Welcome back, Taka!). I don't care how it comes out, a stand alone disc or a download, this game is bought.

 

Waiting for VF5R is stupid advice.

I cannot imagine it being released this year for consoles, but even if the unthinkable happens and it's out in 6 months, that's 6 months of online VF you'd have missed out on.

Do not wait for anything. Go and buy Virtua fighter 5 right now for the system of your choice. Why wait? It is not like we know for a fact it will come out in a couple of weeks.

Well I bought the PS3 version back when it came out in February 07 and when I heard the 360 version was coming out and that it had online play I really didn’t give a fuck...but after a few months of it being out and everybody talking about online play and downloadable content I was convinced to purchase it…now that I own both it really doesn’t bother me that I spent money on the same game because I honestly love VF that much…the combos are better and the graphics are also better…well at least for me…VF5 for the PS3 is in Wal-Mart for like 30 bucks now so if you only own a PS3 then go ahead and buy it…but if you own both systems or you already have it for the PS3 and your thinking of buying it for your 360 go ahead….if you truly love VF5 you cant lose…but if your going to purchase a 360 just for VF5 well hey if you gat money like that knock yourself out….you cant lose owning both consoles...cause hey, do you really want to miss out of Metal Gear 4 or Gears of War 2 this year?....anyway about VFR doe…I think with all the fighters coming out this year Tekken 6, Soul Calibur 4, Street Fighter 4 and so on. It would be wise for Sega to release R for both consoles some time this year….I think those guys at Sega are smart enough to do the right thing….but for now they need to make ver D downloadable content for the 360…c’mon Sega don’t make us beg

 

online play makes all the diff get the 360 dude

 

It depends what kind of player you are. If you are someone who goes to tournaments and gatherings, then it makes sense to have the latest version.

 

i have ps3 and i NEED to get online or otherwise i will not get better with brad. hope VF R comes to ps3 and brings an online mode

 

You've gotta get the 360 version. The addition of ONLINE makes the game 10 times better. It's so worth it. You'll be happy you did.
