Any really good Lion's out there willing to beat the crap out of me until I know what he is doing? There is one Lion on Ranked that keeps beating me with his low crumples and stuff, and I need to get my reaction/knowledge of wth he is doing up. Let me know.

Look up ComandanteNetza. Good guy. Tell him DarkCatalyst sent you and you need a good Lion to spar with.

He could always accidently meet up with Chibita if the man has a 360 and VF5C yet. Of course, Chibita is a force of nature that will devour your soul.

Why don't YOU try playing with Lion for a change, so you can recognize his moves? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

PS: if you're talking about the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif foot crumple, it's so slow you can elbow Lion out of it on reaction - try it!

Because I'm still learning the game and am new myself. I don't know the frames/how to fight almost half the cast. I have guys now for vanessa, eileen, lei fei, and kage. I've yet to face ANYone even remotely decent with Aoi. The only other character who is in such short supply but I find beats me, is this comandante character with his Lion. He doesn't seem that good to me, just beats me because of my lack of knowledge. I need to have that knowledge though, to really determine how good he is.

Netza is good. I've watched him with Neobeast. What you see is him holding back.

I find that XBL is like The Wizard of Oz - Lions are cowardly. They usually run away and try to turn the match into a lame low/mid guessing game. I try to get up in Lion's grill and just give him an old fashion beatin. Use punch, low punch, elbow, side kick, and whatever low attack crushing move your character has.

I have gotten better at punishing retreaters. I love when they backroll and I chase after them and they realize I am still right there.

Also, like the other peole said, find out which of Lion's moves are punishable (many of them are).

Dissmaster is right! Keep close. Even after you knock them down, keep close. Don't worry so much about the rising attacks. If the player is just trying to run then don't let up. Also try to fuzzy guard from mid range. If you do that you will be able to react better to his long lows and mids (because they are slow). The only problem you will have is the lag. It messes up your timing sometimes and it becomes harder to block. But when you do, PUNISH!!!

    Mine too.
But hey, I love abusing /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif on newbies that challenge me, especially the ones that don't roll for some reason.
    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, back away, wait for the rising attack, repeat /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
Just teaching them NOT to get up with a rising attack every time and to roll. If they have voice on, I will usually tell them about quickrise after the match.
