I seriously do not understand the concept of guarding throw escapes.

I cannot get this crap to work in training mode. It says you're supposed to do it during recovery, but exactly jack registers. It's freaking annoying.

umm i donno wut exactly ur question is, buh a guarding throw escape means u enter a throw escape after ur opponent has guarded ur move, and after u enter [P]+[G] or wtv, hold down the [G] so if ur opponent tries a throw or a striking attack, u can avoid damage from both (unless ur opponent uses a throw that u dint input the throw escape for, i.e. [4][P]+[G] when u only input [P]+[G]), hope tha answers ur question

If by 'guarding throw escapes' you mean TE-G, it's supposed to do two things:
    - escape the throw opponent might use,
    - guard his attack,
    at the same time.

The mechanic is this - you enter the escape pretty much in the last frames of your move's recovery - if you do it too fast, it won't work; remember, opponent's in guard stun too, usually he can't throw right away.

So enter a throw escape, let's say P+Gm in the right moment; adn don't release G, so you can guard his counterattack. During throw escape buffers, guard also serves this purpose - if opponent does nothing, you won't get a missed throw animation.

In free training it is possible to alter the display settings so that each move gets a multi-colored bar that shows you exactly how long is the execution and recovery of the move. The throw escapes that you input during move execution won't register.

In trial make sure you're doing the right escapes, the game won't display escapes that you're not supposed to do.

Also.. this is not evading-throw escape-guard we're talking about, is it? Because in those cases nothing will register if you fumble the evade command..

    Hope this helps..

ok i think i can do this, but how bout explaining it for pad users, who use [P]+[G] as one button and cannot let go of [P] and just hold [G]. When do you start to hold square(guard) during the throw escape and what not?
