OK, I did it, I threw a match. But let me explain.

It was against this player "something something gun" and it turns out he is in Alaska. Anyways the matach was suuuuuuuuuper laggy and there was no recovering unless you spammed the input hard. When I mean bad lag I mean /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif wouldn't register.

I really wanted to go to the dashboard but I won't pull on anyone so I tried talking through the mic and nothing. I won the first round and in the 2nd round tried to back up so maybe we could do a draw. Well he came at me hard and I just couldn't avoid him and I didn't want to seem like a super turtle so ran out of the ring. I ran out of the ring two more times as soon as the round started.

I would rather take the loss than pull the cable on this guy. Bad to throw a match I know but still, I won't pull the connection. Just seems like bad karma to me. I dunno though, which is worse, pulling the cable ot throwing the match?

Pulling the cord. Definently pulling the cord. He still get's the W to show for his work. Plus what else are you supposed to do if the lag is so bad you have to spam everything for it to work?

he won't get a win if you pull the cord in the middle of the match, not even the final round. it has to be a small percentage of energy left for you to pull on him. thats what i think anyway.

Yeah, but he didn't pull. He just gave up at the end and let him beat him. The other guy did get a W, but you know, a few losses aint the end of the world.

I gave up after I won the first round. I took the loss and he got the win. I messaged him afterwards saying sorry but I couldn't handle the lag. He apologized saying the lag was from him being in Alaska. I don't think he minded me running out of the ring. With lag that bad it's just not even fun trying to fight through it.

indeed; I was asking myself why i was even bothering to finish my matches this afternoon- i was playing 4 awhile up until a few min ago and the lag was so bad during half the fights that i couldn't stop the PPP spam of hell from a lot of people. Urgh. :meh: ...and when i could make someone pay- i couldn't juggle correctly. Oh noes! :-( :-(

Try to figure out who is from Japan or Taiwan ir Korea and don't join the match. I hate fighting those laggy fights and they are half the ones up there these days. Sega needs to fix this problem yesterday. I want to fight Americans, ideally on the East Coast, but it is harder and harder to find those matches.

    PLEASE SEGA, FIX THIS!

People from Taiwan/Korea tend to have wonkier connections. People from Japan tend to have pristine connections (actually, this could be because there are a lot of Japanese in the San Fransisco area, and they try to wire it up better to Japan?). On laggy connections, I will pull first round. That way you know the reason. Because at that point, clearly you know I wasn't pulling since I think I'll lose. First round pulling before a certain time limit should be allowed.
