Its personal....and I have to nominate Lei Fei.....
Reason being..his numerous irritating sabakis and the 175 pts back-stagger combo?? thats too much for me to take...
It sounds almost like what Akira was in Vf2 with his 2/3 Spod, Bodycheck...Full-lifebar damage.

Btw..maybe i wasn't paying attention in the post..but has anyone realise how to escape the 175 back-stag combo? I actually was a victim, feeling very sore abt it still. =(

IIRC, the reason it's a back stagger combo is that you tried tech rolling after being face down, right? So don't tech roll... <shrug>

I would hav to pick Pai. I consider her annoying. Not that I don't think someone could be a dangerous Pai, but I am just not a big fan.

Hmmmm. I would say Lau Chan. Of all the characters I would say he's the most linear in style and execution. VF4 gave everyone else some sort of new approach or stance or even both but Lau is still the same with a few tweaks which only a dedicated user will appreciate.

For those above points I could say Akira too but Lau more so for me because of his lack of options compared to Akira.

All the the characters in VF are interesting and unique both to play as and to play against. There's no really "redundant" characters that plague so many other fighting games. I don't think I'd want anyone removed in the next VF installment.

i'd say dural, if she gets any more realistic looking, VF's gonna turn into a PORN show!!
though, at the moment, she's starting to look like a man.

    scary... (0_0) ..

Die Jacky, die! I pray every night for them to remove Jacky in the next VF, he's annoying to the extreme. /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

Seriously though, I think I have to agree with Zero-Chan on this matter. Even though I hate Jacky with all my heart I don't think any character in VF4 deserves to be removed.

Nor would I, Lau is fun to fight when played well but, this is one of those If you put a gun to my head... questions so I'd choose Lau.

I thought Taka was redundant though and I'am glad he was axed. Call me ignorant but what has Sumo got on Jeet Kune Do or Mantis Fist?

    Taka,

well, I was just starting to like him. He was very different to play with and against due to his superheavyweight status.
I think the main reason he was axed, was that you couldn't have made him believable in VF4 while still having him remain playable.TR/QR for example. I just don't see a sumo do a quickrise or techroll, sorry. Without QR/TR,he would be at a serious disadvantage, and with he would be totally unrealistic (I know he wasn't realistic in TB either, that pounce, shudder).

yes you're definately not paying attention.

I think I've posted numerous times..

    1) In a head or stomach crumble situation simply dont tech roll.. that applies for all characters.

    2) Do some research and identify which 3 moves Lei-Fei can do head crumble. All three are extremely easy to connect depending on the opponent.

    Arrow Punch::
[DM] PK... fully charged is unblockable and Head crumble
    Dodge or Reverse-Mid

    Neck Strike
    b, f+P+K
Ducks high attacks and hits high. Sitting duck afterwards

    Hammer Punch
    [TG]P
Sabaki vs HP, MP, HK, MP, KN
Identify his Tiger stance (back turned with one hand forward and high and other hand low back. Dodge this(risky)... block high and throw. Do a SM or non sabaki attack if fast enough.

I dunno...I used to think that, too. Before I saw Kurita's Taka. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

One more to add to the list:

Lei Fei's "Butterfly Wall" -- QCF+P+K causes a Head KD as well in Ver.C and is a sabaki move as well.

Hrmm, I wouldn't want anyone to be removed, though I am not really morning the loss of Taka. Lau - I like, I think though he could of been done even better. If someone had to get axed, I think I would go with Pai...I find her even more generic..

But Pai has inashi's and counters and, a new stance. She has far more options than Lau while retaining the meat of his style (P Variants). Her actual look is far more flamboyant too.

Maybe I should preface what I am saying in that I have yet to play VF4. To me, from my view point, Lau has just always been more "raw" than Pai. I could see Lau being truly a old school kung fu badass...I don't see that in Pai.

    I couldent agree more.
