1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. If Final Showdown is at Evo 2012, will you attend?

Topic says it all. If Sega brings Final Showdown to Evo this year (2012), will you attend to enter a Final Showdown Tournament?

I think the only person that will say no to this thread is Darth. Is there any news on Final showdown being at Evo?

Not this year. Taiwan and Hong Kong call me.

    Next year, yes.

He needs to take care of his drum practice.

There won't be enough time for people to learn VF5FS before EVO so it doesn't have a chance. Next year it will if the hype hasn't died down.

I'd come if they announce it early enough. We'd all be at the same starting point (except for those lucky Cali players!)

It's going to be at Evo.

Don't tell me how I know, but I know. And it's going to be GOOD. So good in fact that I really wanted to go just for that tourney, but unfortunately I can't due to work. [IMG]

    Trust in Reno!

If I can afford it and things work out, I'll be there.

Don't forget about his art. He does a excellent interpretive dance of a grey bar dmpk.

I guess it's time to start saving up then. Getting that plane ticket really early is key. I still hope they tell us sooner rather than later so i can book it.

If this is as good as confirmed, I'll definitely be watching this but can't go, just isn't in the cards for me.

Side tournament or main stage (EVO Champ in VF sort of thing)?

As I am already planning a trip to California, I am not planning to attend Evo. Hopefully if Sega is doing something special for Evo, they will give announcement sooner than later (allow people to arrange/plan trip.

It's kinda important that if sega does bring VF to evo that bodies show up. Not just the wave of casulas that have been showing up to the southtown events, but core players.

I attended EVO the last time Virtua Fighter was represented. I doubt I will return if it's this year.

Already planning on attending AND already planning on a side tournament. If there's an official even better.

My boy, repping the scene hard.

Seriously though you'll be missed. Why do you doubt a return if it's going on this year though?

Where was everyone else the first time? lol.

When VF5 first came out on the PS3 I was a cocky 21-22 year old with plenty of free time on my hands. My competitive nature was strong enough for me to fly just about anywhere (I hate flying with a passion). Now I'm the complete opposite I'm much older, barely no free time on my hands and after attending tournament after tournament I've became much more humble. By the time FS rolls around, EVO would be a few weeks thereafter. By that time, I'd be lucky if I can even accumulate over 10 hours on the game. But who knows, I never said I would be a definite no show but I'm just being honest when I say I most likely won't go. I'm just answering the question that the thread stated. Shame not enough VFDCers came out the first time.

You make good points about the release date of the game and the event. It's kinda bad timing. I wasn't playing VF like I am now back when it was at EVO last time around. I'm not tryn' to single you out, your comment just exemplified my concern about VF getting a chance to be at major tournies in US. My apprehension is that the FGC kinda has a short attention span when it comes to new games, and this year is a good time to really attract new blood.

I mean, we are both in NYC and there are a lot of strong players here so it's possible for us to do some really cool stuff without traveling. I'm down with hosting peeps at my spot for casuals. THen there's always NextLevel arcade and soon we'll have CTF back in again.

Wait, CTF is coming back? I thought Next Level was basically the new CTF?
