If you bought the first VF4 on PS2, are you still getting VF4 EVO?

I picked up vf4 for $30 cdn = ] hehe its a "greatest hits" now.

 

Hells yeah.

I think most everybody here is.

 

At this point Im a little ... untrusting of Sega. I got my money's worth in VF4 for sure, and I probably would in Evolution regardless. However, Im just waiting for them to turn around with an Xbox port of this one, and have it either look better, or have more stuff in it. Until Im sure whats happening, Im gonna hold off getting Evolution.

Why would you want to wait for an Xbox version anyway? The PS2 version already has improved graphics and added features.

re: waiting for an xbox version... half the fun is playing the game when it's new and fresh to everyone. You'll be uncool if you pick it up 2 months late!@

Also, if VF4 wasn't ported, I wouldn't hold my breath for an xbox version. Doesn't matter whether it'd be a "good" conversion.

Getting it a few months late is lame, true. However, from the look of the Quest mode thus far, its gonna take a lot of trial and error for one like myself who doesnt read a word of Japanese. I had enough hell with VF4's training mode. Considering, its not exactly VF5, and its new feeling isnt as pronounced as first getting VF4 was, I figure since Ill probably wait for the US version anyway (and local friends get the US version.. so then the custom character feature will be more fun too. Opposed to me currently with my import and them with the US one). So, once you miss the opening rush, I sorta feel its not much worse to wait a bit longer.

As for the port quality... While its true that most PS2 to Xbox ports just dont look right, and some look worse (Mortal Kombat for example), Sega does have some knowhow with Xbox hardware, I doubt it could end up as MK did. The game could be better on Xbox debate is said and done, no sense in bringing that up. Im in no way gonna hold my breath for an Xbox version, Im just thinking Im gonna go with a relaxed approach for the PS2 version. One way or another, Ill get Evolution, that is certain.

I'll get it eventually, and probably sell my copy of VF4, I'm so damn poor right now /versus/images/icons/frown.gif .
Whether its for the PS2 or XBOX shouldn't matter, as long as its a good representation of the arcade version.
