An informative albeit, depressing tale...I liked the pic of the hanged Sonic with the "continue?" logo, that jab was on the mark.

Mmmm, an all be it good piece of journalism.

There were a few points which took me by suprise, although I think a better look at the DC would have been good.

Long for IGN and alot better than most other peoples pieces on SEGA or Sonic which mostly resembles beating a dead horse.

A cut above the recent level of their work though. Kudos to them /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Good read, I knew about most of the hardware history, but it was interesting to hear about some of their strategies, ideas, plans, and ultimately: why they started sucking so bad most of the time since they stopped making hardware.

Great read. Brought back a ton of memories too. I used to own a Master System, complete with 3D glasses et al. Even had that Alex Wonderkid game thing. And the card-based games.

Hell, I had the Atari too. Smurfs and effin' Gargamel.

    Damn. I'm old.

The Sega Master System was my first console, and it was magical.

The Master System was my first console as well, albeit a very late one. Had Sonic 1 built in and I spent about half an hour looking for the cartridge before realising. I still had a lot of fun with it.

Not as much as I did with the DC. If they didn't keep breaking on me, I'd still be playing with mine more often. Most fun console ever.

Sega is like that old restaurant near my old place, they had the most amazing burgers, but it was old and dirty and the owner was an old man with no fashion sense. Nobody ever went there to eat apart for me and a couple of other guys, everybody else went to the other place with the pretty girl at the counter, whose burgers were chewy and tasteless.

After some time the old place closed down, and all of a sudden people where like ""that place was amazing" yeah how the fuck do you know, I've never seen you there!!
