I'm very new on this, and maybe my cuestions could look ridiculous, but I want to know more about this game, and how I said, IM NEW ON THIS. Now my cuestion is: does anyone knows all the orders of rounds and stages of all the virtua fighters? it doesn't matter if you only know 1 or 2, etc, I just want to know it even if it takes weeks. Thanks.

It's just curiosity and because a friend told me about this game and that the order in all the VFs was the same. I asked to know the truth and I think that if the order is in that way, it could be very boring... By the way, do you know any emulator for ps2 that works on pc (for play virtua fighter 4 on my PC)? Tnks.

No they are not all in the same order.

VF1: Don't remember...but I think it was Jacky, Jeff, Sarah, Pai, Kage, Wolf, Lau, Akira

VF2: Lau, Sarah, Shun, Pai, Lion, Jeff, Kage, Jacky, Wolf, Akira

    VF3: No set order

    VF3tb: No set order

VF4: Lion, Lei, Pai, Kage, Jeff, Vanessa, Lau, Jacky, Aoi, Shun, Wolf, Sarah, Akira

I could have some mixed up...but I think that's it. So, your friend's wrong, the order has never been the same from 1 to 2 to 3, etc.

    cheers,

I think Kage was before Pai.

OK! Thanks! and does anyone knows about the evolution? I'm curious if they make really almost the same like vf4 or they changed it to. Another thing: what it's going on with the vf3? I have read on internet about this and in pictures when the character fight, I only saw a teambattle fight! It's because we can only play on that mode???

I don't know the order for VF4evo. My bet is that it's the same as VF4.

As far as VF3 is concerned. There are two versions of VF3.

    1) VF3ob (original battle) where you pick one character and get your life back to full every round.
    2) VF3tb (team battle) where you choose (usually) 3 characters and your life at the beginning of the rounds is not reset.

Now, VF3tb had a very small arcade distribution in North America. Toronto still has an arcade VF3tb machine and Detroit had one for a small amount of time. That being said, what you end up seeing online will likely *not* be from the arcade. What you're seeing is the Dreamcast version of the game.

    cheers,

A quick word about stage order in VF3 and VF3tb. While there was no set order in these games, I've always felt that the game definitely had a preference. For example It was very rare to come across Pai in the later half of the game (i.e. see was usually on of the first six, in fact I'd say she was usually one of the first four). On the other hand Akira and Jacky were almost always late in the game (Akira especially, usually one of the last four you would face in the game).

Am I insane? Did VF3 (in the arcade) seem like this to other people as well. Bungle, you're the most qualified to answer this -- what do you think?

If i remind well, the order in VF4evo is the same as in VF4. But since i've only done versus when i was in Japan, i may be wrong.

Now you say it, i feel the same. I thinnk each single character had a range for being the opponent in arcade mode (ex Pai: from 1 to 6) so you couldn't fight Akira in the 1st match

I read somewhere that the stage order for VF4 EVO is random, like VF3/TB.

OK! But, if the order does not exists, how we could see any end? There it is an end on the vf3? And there is any Dural? At least that you're meaning that we can play on something like arcade or expert mode but with no order, but there is a Dural and a video of end anyway?

yeah, you're right. it's not random. there are about a dozen (guessing here) or so pre-set progressions. and i'm pretty sure that even the progressions aren't random, either, i think they're cycled through.

this was always most notable on the DC version. every time you turned it on and played you would start against pai, at least on the japanese version.

dural's stage did seem to be random, though.

VF4Evo order is random, but what is weird is that it changes daily... and all the machines in Japan have the same order on a given day. For example, if you go to one arcade and the CPU order is Sarah, Lei, Lion... and then you go across town to another arcade, the order will be the same: Sarah, Lei, Lion... etc. I wonder if this is just a VF.net thing, or i the game has some sort of internal clock?

Well, but if the order is random and Dural appers (even if she is on a lower stage like stage 10/16) what's going on with the end? There is no end on the vf3? or Dural it's not really random... or you're joking and Dural doesn't appears? I don't understand so well! Could you explain me more please?

no, dural always comes at the end, which in vf3 was after 8 matches against the other characters. in vf3 you would play against her in a stage that belonged to one of the regular characters, but with modified graphics (different bg, pallete swaps, fog, etc.).

Ok, so this means that in vf3 we don't play against all the characters, just against 8 characters of 12, isn't it? And so, by this THERE IS a video of end, I'm all right?
