INTEREST CHECK: VF5 @ Midwest Extravaganza 14

Hey all!

I'm helping my longtime buddy Tyson organize a fighting game tournament (tentatively named Extravangaza 14) to be held in or around the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area during the second or fourth week of April. I'll actually be flying in from SFO to attend, as well.

We're in the planning process, so VF5 is not yet confirmed for this tournament. However, if interest is strong enough, Tyson is very keen on having it there.

What is guaranteed to be there so far:
- Tekken Tag
- Tekken 6
- SFIV
- HD Remix
- MvC2

What is possible:
- Super Smash Brothers Brawl
- VF5
- GGXX
- BlazBlue
- Tatsunoko vs. Capcom
- Very cool surprises

So what we're trying to do here on VFDC is gauge the interest in VF5. Would we be able to get enough people to commit to coming to CR to play VF5 in order to make it worth our while to include in the lineup?

I had a blast going last time and would love to attend this one of course if more people would show up? If my memory serves me right it was Missouri, Ohio, and Florida. It was enough players to enjoy vf to it's fullest. As far as april, it seems enough time to plan for as long as it's the second week and not close to the 22nd(My baby girl's 5th b-day).

Well I almost want to go. We need more than STL to commit to come, though.

 

where is this gonna be held at and what format (360,arcade?)

 

I will probably be there for Tekken (and SC4 is it's added). I would need to know in advance if VF5 is going to be there, but as long as that happened I would play in a VF tournament.
