Interesting Combo for Akira.

I saw Netrom or some Akira do this combo once: [6][4][P]+[G][8]/[2]~[2_][4][6][P]. I have seen Akiras doing this combo. How do you do it? I tried doing but I can only pull it off on slowmotion cause I'm a pad player.

Yeah i find [3][3][4][6][P] or so moves hard to do on pads.Guess the only thing to do is get a stick.

That's how I do it ( I play on a pad) the double palm looks reversed because after the the throw you switch sides with your opponent. The important thing I've found when doing modified double palms in combos is not to buffer the crouch dash too early otherwise it wont work. This could just be a problem with me specifically since I had the same problem with inputting throw escapes too early into my moves recovery too.

After the [8]/[2][P]+[K] you can actually get a SDE in before the double palm with the right timing (again not too early) for more damage. I think you can get a DLC in against certain weights too, do a search I think I've read about it here somewhere.

Yeah just to add what Elite said:

    After PIT you have several options. (PIT=[6][4][P]+[G] ie Akiras catch throw). If you just do PIT some things are guaranteed from it;
    PIT>[P]+[K]>[P][K]
PIT>[P]+[K]>[2_][4][6][P] (you'll need to modify it).

If you use the RBC (reverse body check ie [8]/[2][P]+[K]) there are various options BUT there aren't guaranteed as such as your opponent can escape and guard the RBC if they hold [8]/[2][G] , depending on which way the RBC is entered (ie direction must be matched). Heres (some) things you can do:

PIT>RBC>[6][6][6][P]>[2_][4][6][P] (vs all chars I think. btw I'm not changing the direction in what you'd do here)
PIT>RBC>[6][6][6][P]>ABC([2][K]+[G]>[6][K]>[4][6][P]) think this will work on all chars too.
    PIT>RBC>[6][6][6][P]>DLC([3][K]+[G]>[6][P]>[4][6][6][P]+[K]) vs Pai only.

Another good option is using Akiras guard breaks after this as it will break the guard of any player who knows how to stop the RBC. Since lots is guaranteed after a guard break its a good way to keep on the offensive (eg can use SPoD, [6][6][K], [4][6][P], knee/yoho with good timing, [2_][6][P] etc).

This is prolly changing the subject a lil but I saw Saur do some nifty combo with Akira I've never seen:

    [2][1][4][P] > [3][3][P] > [2][K][G], [6][K], [4][6][P] or dragon lance.

Me, I end it with the shoulder barge ([4][6][6][P][K]) and on light weights scissor kick([6][6][K][K]) but u gotta buffer into them a lil, it's quite hard but does bare damage!

    PIT > P+K is not guaranteed...it's guarded with f+G

Thanks for always taking your time to help out other Akira players, LM_Akira.

    Just one comment.

PIT>RBC>[6][6][6][P]>DLC([3][K]+[G]>[6][P]>[4][6][6][P]+[K]) -> This combo works up to Kage.

My favorite follow up from PIT is PIT and then a throw(normally [1][6][G]+[P]).

For pad, I modify Akira's DPM to: [6][3][2][3][4][6][P]. I find it much easier cause I'm good at sliding with the pad. When I do the combo I mentioned in this post, I can't do it with this kind of DPM:[3][3]/[1][1][4][6][P]. I can only use the sliding version. I found a easy way to do the DPM by entering [2][G] very fast, let go and enter [4][6][P]. It takes a few frames to crouch but its worth it.

After P+K , PK or m-dbpm is guaranteed. Should have made it clearer what part it was guaranteed from. /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I also find it useful to play mind games with throws after PIT too.

One against Lion that can be useful is:

    PIT>RBC>[3][P]+[K]+[G][P]>[2_][4][6][P]

provided you dodge to his back. This can be used to varying degrees of succes against other chars with differing amounts of delay on the elbow of [3][P]+[K]+[G][P].

Mmm doubt its a "proper" combo as the after the yoho I think your opponent can get a TR in. btw (just being picky) [4][6][6][P]+[K] is body check (BC) and [6][6][K][K] is double jump kick (DJK). Good follow ups to [2][1][4][P] are [6][6][K][K], [2_][6][P][P] or sidestep>[4][6][6_][P]+[K] ( ie deep body check DBC ). If you're playing someone who doesn't TR (??) you could try [2][1][4][P]>[2_][6][P]+[K]>ABC or DLC (some hits would probably miss).

Also [2][1][4][P], [P], DLC is guaranteed, on everybody.

I think it has to be open-stance, doesn't it? And does it matter which way you dodge when open-stanced?

Yeah forgot to mention stuff like that. If you're into back stagger combos , many come from [2][1][4][P]>[2_][6][P]+[K] or [P] say. Basically to those who don't know, when playing as Akira and your opponent TRs using [3][K] with certain timing will allow you to launch into combos as you're opponent is staggering back from your initial hit. Creeds got a big guide to lots of them somewhere.
