    [​IMG] Haunts at Iplaywinner will be streaming a series of previews for the upcoming release of Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown for the PS3 and Xbox 360. In these streams, he plans to try out the different characters and modes (including online). Day 1 of these streams will be streamed sometime today, so keep a look out of IPW's website/twitter for more information!

      Haunts got the game early? That's an awesome thing for Sega to do. Sega better be sending out some more advance copies of the game to certain members of this site so they can make some video tutorials that could be out in time for VF5FS's launch. If new players could just go to Shoryuken (or, you know, here), and see them, I think it would really help them out.

      Anyway, looking forward to the stream. I can't wait to see the online mode!

      Archive of Day 1 Iplaywinner Preview

      I came in late to watch the stream - from what I saw:

      Online matches were being played by Haunts and LA.
      Preview of Replay Modes
      Jean and Akira Training Modes demoed.

      There will be ongoing series of live streams previewing the game. You will have to follow Iplaywinner website or twitter to known exactly when it will be streamed (no exact schedule is available). Updates on VFDC will be in this thread and/or the VF Stream Schedule Thread.

      There was one thing I didn't get it.
      Haunts was searching for the players, but somehow LA joined his session instead. Wasn't it supposed that Haunts should be on 2P side?

      Currently watching the jacky command training as painful as he makes it look.. Sega must be on the right track.. My girlfriend said "Jacky has a attitude now" She likes the way he walks backward... WTF? LMAO!! this cant come sooner.

      I hoped that the vids are gone cease my anticipation for FS, but actually the opposite is the case...
      However, its quite interesting that im able to see my oppenents inputs during the replay. This will surely give me a better sigh in other players habits, like prefered TE directions etc.

      Major props go to Haunts for running a five-hour stream today along with Dennis and Jay (001), and Gerald (L_A) playing as their online opponent. Those guys played over 50 ranked online matches and made it into the Dan rankings.

      From what I can tell by watching the online matches, the win-loss record is not shown on the main loading screen -- only info of Battle Points and Games (number of matches) appear. And as far as the battle points are concerned, a player earns 4 points for a match win, 2 points for a match loss but with at least one round won in the match, and 1 point for a match loss with no rounds won in the match.

      Really? It should be the other way around, even if people would complain... (Because people prefer to grade up meaninglessly rather than being matched up fairly...)
      You should be "punished" for losing 0-3 because it means you probably don't belong there and you should be matched against weaker opponents.

      This -1/-2 rule also means that if you want to make the other player lose 2 points instead of 1, you would give them one free win on purpose... [​IMG]

      The connection is solid, based on 3 bars. I was able to crouch the strings and it's smooth. We still had no chance to test ROOM MATCH today, and I think maybe haunts can try it with LA later this weekend.
