Is Goh one of the least-played characters online?

That's true. I have yet to find more than one Kage.

It seems that everyone is having wildly different experiences (aside from seeing lots of Jacky and Jean).

    That last part is true.
    This thread goes like this...
    "I see Jacky a lot"
"No, I don't see Jacky at all, only Goh"
"I don't see Goh at all only Jean"
    etc etc

Meaning all the characters are pretty much represented.
Sure there are some played more than others but everyone gets played.

This is true. Vanessa and Jackys are the ones I run into the most. And yea El Blaze is pretty rare.

This guy is one of the few Jeffs I've played online. Absolutely destroyed me lol.

I have to say that I've seen a fair amount of Goh players online.

However, an El Blaze sighting has been extremely rare for me, though I did play a good one from Australia last night (MEGADETH return).

And I haven't seen a single Kage since I played DaComboKid several days ago.

Edit: Whoops... scratch the last comment. I did play KidVid's Kage for a couple matches last night. My bad, man.

The characters I see least online are Taka, Eileen and Jean...

The characters I see most online are Pai, Sarah, Jacky and Vanessa.

Jeffrey and Kage are the characters that I don't usually see when I go online.

I've played more Gohs then Jeffreys.

The rarest? Taka Arashi. I played a fairly high ranked one a few times, always the same guy, but his style seemed to just take advantage of his low stagger and inability to get lifted to steamroll his opponent, so I just swept him and flamingoed his ass to kingdom come.

Fought against my first Jeffry ever. Ran away after winning one match in a 4 game session. Ended up being joined with him 2 times after he disconnected, continued to run. It was like running into another bigfoot. [IMG]

Japs play a lot of Kage, Jacky, Akira, Lau and Taka.

Out of area people, Goh, Jacky, Lion are common.

Have yet to see a worthwhile Vanessa, Eileen, or Sarah. I think a lot of people play them just to wank.

Oops, posted to wrong thread. Please disregard.

Actually, I'll contribute. Only played about 300 or so matches now and I've only seen maybe 3 Aois and maybe 2 Jeffreys.

I see Taka online QUITE often. I rarely see any Gohs besides myself.

And I see you're in Laurel! I'm not far from you.

Ya, not too many Takas out there.
Most are noobs who see a giant fat man and go "Hey, I bet he can crush anyone", find out it doesn't quite work that way, then move on to another character.

That said, the few DEDICATED Taka players I have seen are pretty damned tough.
Taka not only has power, but lots of deception in his strikes, and has pretty decent speed for a big character.
So anyone who pours time into him will find he can be quite the handful (and I've been absolutely killed by some of those players).

Goh? Naa...I see plenty of Gohs.
And most range from decent to expert. A few noobs out there, but Goh doesn't seem to offer much to a button masher beyond swinging front kick followed by hook punch..and once the noobs see it blocked/countered/avoided, they lose interest.
Therefore most Gohs online tend to be pretty good.

1 out of 20? And that looks like few to you?
    ...
Considering there are 19 chars in VF, running into one of them about once out of 20 games is pretty average I will say ;)

not really because not all of them are equally used eg jacky i see maybe every 3 matches, im not saying goh is rare like jeffery but i consistently fight jacky lau and kage

I know some are rare and some are not, buit 1 out of +-20 isquite average. So there are not "just a few" online - just a few will be 1 out of 50+, if not even more ;)
