Is this against high-level humans, your kid brother, or the computer? I think that makes a big difference as to how much respect you're gonna get for the record.

 

Lau fists is correct. I have High King/Emperor rank with all characters (except Jeffrey), but I still only consider myself good with Akira, Lau and Kage. Kumite records only prove that you are good at predicting the cpu's attacks. I once used Pai's + for two consecutive rounds against a high ranked Lion before he finally learned to block instead of low punch. /versus/images/icons/grin.gif Basically, Kumite is only useful for learning to apply the fundamental aspects of the game (improving reaction time, combos, appropriate defensive techniques, ringouts, etc.). Vs mode is what separates the men from the boys, in my opinion.
