Is this Good?

I've been a long time VF player. I had VF 2 on the Saturn (loved it). I did not play VF3 because I did'nt own a Dreamcast untill recently. I played VF4 as soon as it came out for PS2 and did not stop playing it untill VF4:Evo came out. I'm kinda a bit of a veteran.

My Shun (Nickname JackieShun) has 240 wins and 9 losses. I play on standard. Is that good?

 

Which arcade are you at in Quest?

 

I'm in the last arcade. Sega World East.

Also, add 4 more losses but about 30 more wins.

And I'm a Hunter.

 

The rankings don't really consistently determine how 'good' you are at the game. Play non A.I.s and find out if you can handle human opponents as good as you can handle A.I.s also, maybe you should do more quests, 300 fights is really not a lot, I recently lost my file (1900 matches) and I'm already back at 500 matches. So play more, and then play other humans to really tell how good you are currently.

I'm not going to reiterate the A.I vs Human Comp discussion (go to Blondie's highly entertaining Last Arcade Thread for that). Nonetheless I have to say that, although I went into my first ever human VF competition
with a 850-90 (roughly) Brad, I had my ass handed to me on a plate (thanks hamada). This one session did more for my play than 100 Quest fights. So while the last arcade in Quest is great (don't even bother with your record prior to that), there is nothing like a reality check against human comp.

Also, more generally,240-9 is way too early to tell, anyway.

I have an Aoi, Akira, Jacky, Goh and since yesterday even a Jeffrey with very similar records (as it's about that many fights you need to unlock the final arcade). All of the above are characters I have only started playing and despite some of them having over 300 wins and no losses, I know they are not "good".

all the people I play with are not even near my skill level, except for 1 person (he beats me only once or twice out of ten or 15 times though)
