as far as I know it has NOT been confirmed for a PS2 release, however Yu Suzuka (sp?) has hinted that it will be heading to the PS2. In an interview on evo, he said that when converting the game for console release that the team "already have experience converting to PS2", thus suggesting it would be likely /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

I'll be a bit angry if it does come out on ps2, I bought VF4 for the ps2 and then an upgrade comes out less than a year later? Not to mention, I traded in DMC to help get VF4

^^^ WTF? Why you don't want it on PS2? If you don't want the game, just don't buy it. Just because you don't want it, you hope other people don't get it too? Please stop being an ass.

I'd want to play the game but it makes it so the people who bought the original look like they wasted their money and now they will have to shell out another 50-60 bucks for an upgraded version. If you try and trade in the original to help get Evo, you ain't going to get much for it.

Did you ever buy a Street Fighter game after SF2 Snes?

Not to mention that VF4Evo packs more NEW stuff then other companies so called SEQUELS do.

actually, I never bought any SF games, even on genesis. True it has new things but still, I feel like i've wasted 50-60 bucks when an upgrade upcomes out less than a year later.

Even on Genesis, huh? Well if you thought the jump from 3 to 4 was worth it, or even 2 to 3 for instance.... say hello to 2 new characters, loads of new moves, slicker graphics, and a tweaked gameplay engine..... Sega could have gotten away with calling it VF5 if they had a new arcade board to run it on with even better graphics, but VF is about gameplay anyway. I'll be more than happy to shell out whatever it takes to get EVO and buy whatever system I need to in the process. Import? Of course.

And where do you get this Less then 1 year shit from?
It might be quite a while before we see anny home version of Evo.

to tell the truth. VF4 is the first VF game I've owned. I never had a saturn or dc. What I mean by less than a year, is that I get my copy of VF4 and then I hear about Evo which makes me feel like I've wasted my money instead of waiting for the most current version.

IC, so why buy a fighting game at all?
You just know that in time something better is likely to come along.

I didn't expect to hear about an updated version so soon. Like the tekken games come out around every 2 years which is a decent amount of time.

Hold your horses, man. VF4 has been in the arcades since 2001...it's almost 2003 and we're just getting Evo in the arcades. So, you've got VF4 on the PS2? Well, considering that Evo has had no mention of *any* platform conversion, i'd not worry too much. Yes, it will likely make it to a platform, but not for a while, imo.

If you don't play VF4 in the arcades, then knowing about Evo shouldn't bother you at all. Play your PS2. Enjoy it. Only when there's an announcement about a console version of Evo should you express your concern.

    cheers,

Kale, if you're a fucking cheap bastard we have nothing to do with it, i bought the game 2 months ago, and i love it, and if evo's comin' out AND IT'S GOING TO TAKE SOME MONTHS i don't give a fuck, cause it's beautiful. So please, my me a favor, and don't criticize anymore

i suppose you think the upgrade from t3-ttt-t4 was worth the wait.

at least when i shell out the money for evo i know its going to be worth it!

actually I do. TTT brought the tag system along with netsu power ups and tag juggles and special team moves, that was very different then t3. Not to mention characters got upgraded, some got new moves. T4 has the new SW system and walls which made T4 vastly different then TTT and before. I'm not even mentioning the new characters. VF4 to VF4 Evo, 2 new characters and rebalancing of moves. I'll probably end up getting Evo anyway but besides the new characters and rebalancing of moves (and some new moves), it makes the copy I bought look like an imcomplete version
