Has anyone seen the green bar fluctuate. I'll beat someone who is of similar rank. I beat him again and again. I notice I will move on with my rank. Then I play another match only to see the green bar is lower. Now my friend was a witness to this. Also, I remember having a master rank. now I'm a 7th dan only who can't seem to raise his bar. Something's fishy here?!

As far as I know, the bar only drops when you lose (and it's affected most by winning/losing to same-rank opponents), AND if you suffer a disconnect during a fight.

Dunno if this is relevant... but my impression is that playing the same person over and over has diminishing returns. That is, if a same rank players beats me, and then I immediately challenge them again, and win the second match, then my green bar is still slightly lower than before the two matches, the win and loss don't perfectly cancel out. It kinda makes sense... goes along with not allowing direct rematches in ranked, that you're supposed to earn your rank by proving you can beat anyone out there, not just beating the same person over and over.

Well Sorias I think thats exactly what happened. But this suks cuz sometimes you can't help but find the same player. I mean if you can demote someone by playing them over and over you should rank up the same way. Besides in money matches most players do a first to 5 or 10. Just because you beat someone one time does'nt mean you beat him. Players do adapt. I do understand that some people try to rank up playing someone with a lower skill level over and over to rank. Thats kinda scrubby.
