Click on Home in the top menu bar, and then click on Jacky under the Virtua Fighter 4 heading in the left-hand-side navigation bar.

This will take you to Jacky's VF4 page. There's a Discussion table which automatically lists the last 30 threads (from all boards) pertaining to Jacky. You may find this more convenient than searching at this stage. You'll find a lot of Jacky threads there containing lots of information to digest.

I'm going to seriously revamp the search page with more options to help everyone find what they want easier.

Re: Jacky VF4 Strategy FAQ

Jacky Byrant VF4 FAQ
Strategy- tactics- flowcharts - throws

One move that Jacky can employ time and time again is Jacky's Stance change (PKG). This move allows Jacky to mix up his favorable "extremely strong mid crescent attack"[P]+[K]+[G][K] that leaves Jacky at +4 on block and +8 on hit and MC respectively.

Below are a few Blonde_One stance specific Juggles that Jacky has in his arsenal:

Closed stance- Axe kick(b+k+g)[4]+[K][G] juggle with lp, b,f+k+g [2][P]>[4][6][K]+[G]on weights up to Jacky. Also in this foot position if Jacky employs k+g [K]+[G] and it is blocked the sweep is garaunteed(!), input k+g, d+k+g.[K][G]>[2][K][G] Good for alternative okizeme situations.

Open stance- Axe kick(b+k+g)[4][K][G] juggle with lp[2][P], d/f+k,k[3][K][K] on weights up to Jacky. And if p+k,p [P][K][P]lifts don't finish with kick for beatknuckle, do p+k,p, F+p,ppk[P][K][P][6_][P][P][P][K]. This does more damage and is useful on weights up to Jacky, and for Akira just lose the one punch and at the end of the juggle just do the ppk[P][K]. All the rest of the time you should just do standard beatknuckle [P][K][P](?).

RO
If you want to ring out just fight someone that doesn't duck and hit them with two p,p,b+p,k[P][4][P][K]. If the backfist is blocked the kick must be blocked also. When the k is blocked your at a +3 =/ so failure to duck can be costly.

In attacking the opponent rising attempts (Okizeme) situation is where Jacky can looks to get many of his throws to effect damage. Now Jeet Kun Do Daddy has the goal is to get people to eat throws is to get them to "FREEZE" and hold guard.

As soon as Jackys opponent techrolls or rises he likes to do stance change and either hits "K" for strong mid move to keep momentum going offensively or f,b throw (64+P+G)[6][4][P][G] or d/f,d/f throw (33+P+G)[3][P][G]. What he likes to use after the d/f throw is, if he's feeling confrontational /versus/images/icons/wink.gif he'll try to rise faster than his opponent, now if that works Jacky's head is towards facing up. Most characters rising moves are semi-linear from this position, so Jacky can then evade and throw opponent again =), or he can just roll away and get in close again. After Jacky's f,b throw (6,4+P+G) your opponent if in same position with head towards face up,so Jacky can evade rising attack and throw again! Additionally he finds that it is pretty easy to interrupt a rising attack from this position with a quick dash in close after this throw and he can kickflip for good damage and showy /versus/images/icons/wink.gif. Jacky can "keep his opponents honest" with p,p throw and b+p+k,p throw. /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

All of the above makes for a pretty scary Jacky. /versus/images/icons/frown.gif

Please send your thoughts on playing VF4 Jacky too.
I hope I edited Blonde_Ones thoughts on strats correctly. /versus/images/icons/confused.gif
After Jacky does a Knee is there any escape from P(G) repeated? Getting pushed a bit by several P(G)s and then getting hit with PP,6PPd+K is ugly.

as Ken has said:" Stance switching is a great way to taunt and confuse the opponent. Sometimes counter attacking is better than all out offense. Conditioning the opponent to play into your game."
