Japanese names of the techniques

I am a little bit puzzled about the names of the techniques given in VF 4.
They use other names than I learned at the jiu-jitsu club.
For instance, Aoi uses a throw ( [4][P]+[G] ) called rokudan Obitori and I know the same technique under another Japanese name: Tomu Nage...
There are much more with different names. In fact, there are only a few the same.
    Can somebody explain this?

It's pure fiction. don't loose any sleep over it. Names of techniques can change from one dojo/master to the next, combined with AM2's desire to make the names sound cooler.

The techniques or styles of fighting however are real. I forgot where i got it from, but I have a vid of a martial arts instructer showing off his Hakkyoku-Ken style.

Even when I see Jacky Chan movies, he does many moves seen in VF4. (lion's,shun's,jacky's etc..)

I was never in doubt that the techniques are real, because I learned a lot of those myself IRL /versus/images/icons/smile.gif
I was in doubt if they made up the names at SEGA... /versus/images/icons/smile.gif
