Jeffrey vs. Wolf and Vanessa

Ok, I don't know if it's just the AI or what but i'm really having some trouble with these two. Wolf is proving to be very difficult as it seems that he's faster/stronger than Jeff. I'm having a heck of a time escaping ANY throws but thats mostly because I just don't have the reflexes for TE.

Meanwhile Vanessa is CONSTANTLY keeping me guessing on what she's going to do next . I've read the guides on Jeff's page but they don't really seem to help me much. Vanessa's kicks are my biggest problem and it bugs me to no end to think i'm finally going to land a punch only to see her catch it!

I can handle either of these characters with Goh without too many problems but i'm starting see why most people aren't running to play Jeff.

As you probably guessed it the standard answered would be play the game more and learn when you have garanteed throw attempts / punches and what these are.

    VF AI:
Wolf; learn to do [6][P]+[G] and [3][P]+[G] when you've done a big TC move with Jeff.
Van: Learn to evade. Example Evade > [K][K][P].

All in all if you feel you're very weak with throw escapes etc Jeff is probably not the character you should be playing until you're more comfortable with it.

Actually, I know about the gauranteed throw moves., otherwise i'd have MAJOR problems with my Goh, but I can handle these guys pretty easily with him. Problem is they aren't using them too much. Overall, I don't really have a problem with the throws. I know that I need to use TE and such so I figure I'll do my best to prevent them.

I'm starting to learn why most people prefer to play other human opponents, more fun that way, still I wish jeff had 1 or 2 of Wolf's throws.

I think you're trying to make the mistake of throw escaping on reflex. After you do a guranteed throw move, try just mashing in some random direction throw escapes. Soon you'll be escaping throws fairly regularly, and getting punished sometimes. Since the AI will 9 times out of 10 take the guranteed move (throw), you will rarely regret throw escapes.

Eventually you'll get the coordination to evade throw escape consistently, but just get used to mashing throw escapes, and learning what situations are good for it. Even going a few games expecting to lose, using moves like [6][K] and [4][P] more often than you should, it gives practice.
