amazing, great hand - eye coordination, also the concentration displayed to get in that state of mind and to achieve that kind of speed was astonishing. but i have one question though, what gave her the drive to develop speed and coordination to that level just to stack a bunch of plastic cups?? /versus/images/icons/confused.gif

It's a dinky little sport they're promoting in the lower grades, this organization travels around and gives exhibitions and tries to get kids into it. I guess the idea is that it's cheap, simple, and satisfying, even the fat nintendo-playing blobs can get into it. Hell, they might be best at it.

By navigating the site I also read that it can help in making the process of, for example, learning to play musical instruments easier. Achieving this concentration is satisfying enough actually.

    Train the Brain
Cup stacking helps train the brain for sports and other activities where the use of the left and right hands is important, such as playing a musical instrument or using the computer. Sequencing and patterning are also elements of cup stacking, which helps with reading and math skills.

    I can imagine /versus/images/icons/smile.gif.

to creed: oh, ok, that came clear, lol what a sport, but in the other hand i've done martial arts since i was 7 yrs. of age but i think it,s gonna take me a while to get that cup stacking thing down, like i said its an astonishing display of concentration, but you know the fat nintendo playing dude might have a better chance, lol

to bu_jasoom: that's a good way to train your brain for sure, and i agree that acheiving that level of concentration is satisfying, think of the possibilities /versus/images/icons/smile.gif
