Just purchased a HORI EX PRO Stick for Xbox 360

I just purchased a slightly used Hori EX PRO from Ebay for 79.00 wooo I can't wait till it gets here... gonna have to relearn the whole game over again tho... i was using a fight pad controller for the past 4 days.

Worst part is I never really EVER use an Arcade stick for fighting games games. i have before but a LONG time ago at an arcade a few times.

 

I'm a pad player myself, I have a stick for my 360 but every time I try to use it I feel like I've jumped 10 steps back.

I use it for 2D fighters and Tekken but I hate playing VF with it. I'll learn to play it at some point but not just yet.

Regarding sticks, I think the ones most people here use are either the Street Fighter TE or a VSHG. I have a Hori EX2 (came with VF stickers), as far as sticks go it's pretty shoddy but it's all I have for my 360.

 

just mod it like i did mine. Go sanwa with the buttons. I find they respond a lot better than the stock Horis. The switches are not really a bid deal I switched them anyway, was a waste of effort I don't feel the difference. You can also mod your gate; which I didn't do unfortunately, it is pretty hard to hit diagonals.

 

I went to Lizardlick.com which Pushbuttons do I need for the Hori EX Pro... there are a few listed...

 

Sanwa Obsf-30 buttons, seimitsu not sure. You may have to retrofit them, or at least modify the buttons to fit. It's easy.

 

i was going for the sanwa buttons but do i have to mod those or do they fit right out of the box.

 

I think the ex pro already uses sanwas. Getting them out will be kind of hard, but once you do that should be easy to put them in. If they give you a bit of a fight, you might have to shave the tabs on the side of the buttons.

Use this link as a guide for your buttons if you come into trouble putting them back in.
