This is by far my worst match-up and maybe Kage's as well. If I stay in his face it seems to prevent alot of drinks but after 2-2 1/2 rounds Shun is a nightmare.

With a drunk shun should I be focusing on sober moves or trying to play a normal match with lows mixed in?

Any other Shun ideas/strategies please contribute...

I am by no menas an advanced player but I find if you keep his drinks low, shun becomes a hell of alot easier to fight against.

what I do is I use sobering moves in combos etc, slightly less damage most of the time but keep in mind shun gains damage with every drink. Also when hes poking the backdash drinking, just try a risky move and go for the combo or the RO if possible, that will teach him.

also when punishing i try to do this with a sobering move aswell, if it doesnt sacrifice to much more damaging opportunities.

A good thing to know when fighting Shun is which moves don't get avoided by his 2K.
Kage has some key moves that can be used against a lot of chars that simply won't hit shun if he does 2K even if Kage as large advantage. The first example being 6P, and probably 2_3P too. 6+K should hit him as it has a very good low hit detection.
Also you should know the best way to finish the round against him so that you can sober him after K.O. I don't know about Kage's best way to do that but it often includes finishing the round with something that keeps him standing so that you can continue hitting him with sobering moves (stand P or 3K should keep him standing).
As stated above, focus on sobering combos, Kage has the chance to have TFT that allows to do specific anti shun combos.

Shun's short stubby arms and legs make him weak at kage's 2K+G range or so.

    Abuse 2K+G more.

Dodge and Throw escape "/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/n.gifneutral P+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif" as often as you can.
