Kage Warp.

Does anyone remember exactly how to do that Kage Warp glitch from a while back?Where it freezes the opponent?It seems no one remembers,oh and I don't mean the AI glitch either.

 

while opponent is airborne: cancel standing K (or do a slow PKG), then immediately hit P+K+G+E.

this actually worked with anyone who could cancel their K. the opponent just had to be airborne or bouncing.

As I seem to remember the warp was easiest to
perform on the left (?) side. Anyone remember
if there was a side limitation?

just a little "correction" if I may:

I do this all the time at the local arcade (you gotta have some fun),
do exacly like rich said but instead of pressing all buttons after the kick cancel or pkg,
just press G+E at the same. I beleive that's the correct/official commands.
it can ONLY be done on the 1P side (left side).

it also works on human players, but dont do this
unless you wanna get rid of mashers (they'll think
its part of a combo!), or to have a real fight.
this is THE ultimate cheap trick.

i'm going to tell you a little tale.

boston is chock full of schools and our vf scene occasionally had a transient official japanese VF playing student from japan float in every once in a while.

one night the place was empty and i was left alone there playing one of these guys. he was played jacky (suprised?), i played kage (suprised?...errrr). anyway.

pai's stage. i ring him out. next round i get EK'd or knee'd or something. i get up, and get instantly knee'd, db+K,K, pounced. hmm..something didn't feel right there. oh well let's move on. pai's stage again. i ring him out. next round almost identical scene - i get knocked down, then get up, then get slammed. but it doesn't feel right. i'm getting up way too quick, and i can't seem to be able to block...he does it again.

then i realize that the guy is using the bug and freezing me, then wailing on me while i'm frozen. so i turn to him and ask him what the fuck he thinks he's doing. he can barely speak english; all i get is "don't like that" and some motioning with his hand. after some thought i figure out that he doesn't like being RO'ed.

...doesn't like losing by RO's...so he uses a bug and cheats. cool, eh?

things that make you go hmmm.....

 

are there any bugs in vf3ob that are easy to do accidently thus destroying gameplay?

 

against CPU anyway...the mid, high bug that
shut down the CPU until it took damage (or
was it even just being made to block).

Any combo that hit first mid then high would
stop the CPU from functioning. Sarah's elbow
knee, Jacky's elbow heelkick, Akiras, double
jump kick. These would all freeze the CPU if
they blocked the attack. Stupid.
