Well i would like to know if this game is really absolute crap.
many reviews from popular gamesites say so.
But there are a few posts in forums and massage boards that say that if you get to understand the new fighting system(chojin moves), then it isn't so bad. I can't imagine that dream publishing(tobal, ehrgeiz) would produce absolute crap. You know i like new fighting systems or people who try new things. It's a sad thing that so many games copy the VF system, at least the basics(DA,Blody Roar,Soul Calibur).

well i didn't buy the game yet, to many bad, catastropic reviews.........but i would like if there is a fighting freak that actually likes the game

I cant believe dream publishing made annything worthwhile when I see titles like ehrgeiz, kakuto chojin, The bouncer etcetera.

I have to agree when it comes to the Bouncer. All style no substance. The cutscenes lasted longer than the actual gameplay. The game engine was flawed with what I can only call the domino effect. Plus it was very difficault to throw and if you tried to do so while near a wall you'd collapse. A great waste of potential.

I agree that the Bouncer wasn't the deepest Fighting experience , even for a Final Fight clone, so i didn't bother to buy it. But Ehrgeiz was quite fun( and i repeat just fun). Tobal 1&2 also had a good reputation. i heared that Kakuto Chojin has the same Fighting System as Tobal . Could it be that many people play the game are VF,SC,T,DA biased and don't even try to understand the fighting system. As much as I know the booklet doesn't help much, so you have to buy the offical strategy guide. And having almost no goodies in the game doesn't help the game either in the reviewers eye, especially if there are games like MKombat with his 700 secrets(coffins)

Any worthwhile talent that worked on Tobal 1/2 is now working at Anchor and assisting with all kinds of VF goodness. Dream Factory has long since been gutted out of any sort of potential.

I saw a video of some guy getting through 5900 rounds of Erghiez survival mode by doing one move over and over again. Especially hilarious was the fact that he only stopped because he ran out of tape. XD

Sorry but who is Anchor............what are they develloping right now.

As i said Ehrgeiz is fun, everybody who plays it knows that it isn't even a bit as deep as the other popular fighting games. Still it has got a nice style(system 12 version) and is FUN, namely because it's different then other 3D fighters.........like Powerstone was.

at gamefaqs there are now two reviews. Okay they aren't very professional, and these guys don't often post reviews(klicking on their names is a good trick to find out if they have good/same taste and understanding). But still there are a few interesting points, also in the massage board. I

think i'll give it a try. I'm not looking for a new VF....nor a FV replacement. i only want to try something new out(Gameplay wise and Graphicstyle. You wont believe me but i also liked some aspects of games like takaras d-Xthird Takaras or Anarchy in the nippon also on Saturn.

P.S I like your FV site and believe me i fell in love with FV at the first moment i saw it. I only hope there will be a new installement, i read in an interview that the producer is very interested to make one, but i doubt that kayama-san wants a Sequel of a game that sold so few copies.
let's hope FV1 gets a honorable Model 2 Port in a classic collection

Does anyone know the meaning of the CG pictures in the PS2 Port of VF4 Evo.........for Exemple Lau in his cook kostume. Did you see those pictures also in the Arcadequest mode. In Switzerland we don't have any Evo machine

Heh, Anchor apparently started developing Evo routines for XBox and then were asked by AM2 to stop em.
Currently theyre developing some more wrestling and UFC games as wel as doing animation and skeletal systems for AM2 and a few others.

I used to have a source inside Anchor but the dude moved to Square.

Really kind of strange. first Kayama-san says that VF and Sonic go multiplatform..................whatever that means for VFQuest anf VF Evo or Sequels.......then one week later this VF Evo PS2 anouncement,..........but probably there will be a VF XBOX Version of somekind............who knows
