A heap of qualification movies have been released today:

    http://am.sega.jp/utop/news/vf5_kaku4/up_history.html

Just a reminder that the Kaku4 finals are taking place this weekend in Tokyo, Japan.

A live stream will probably be available through gyao, like the last tournament, and I don't expect it's going to be any easier for non-Japan residents to watch either.

So, watch this thread for details on how to tune in. Our good friend Rain, from HK-VF.net, will also try to capture the feed as well, so don't fret if you miss out.

Ken__I, they should stream automatically in windows media player, or whatever your default player is. If you want to save them, you need some stream recording program like FlashGet (google for it).

Anyways, new movies are up, dated 03/20 in the top link.

http://www.gyao.jp is the link on Sega's website, I think; however, it seems that only people living in Japan can watch it...

Our nice friends at hk-vf.net have captured the streamed Finals event:
    http://www.hk-vf.net/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=19325

Each link is a media stream (mms), so clicking on it should launch in your default video player. If that doesn't work for you, copy and paste the URL in your player of choice (VLC works great).

The filesizes for each link are approximately:
    1: 90M
    2: 60M
    4: 110M
    5: 180M
    6: 100M
    7: 170M
    8: 120M
    9: 100M
    10: 120M
    11: 110M
    12: 150M

    Enjoy!

p.s. The final match was INSANE!!!!!!!!!

I actually managed to register an account on gyao and was able to stream down some videos so I can get myself ready for KS4. What sucked was I just passed out and didn't wake up in time...sigh.

Nice stuff Myke and special thanks to HK-VF.net ppl.

I felt Jin's heart just crashed when he lost to the 17 year old jacky player.

it was horrendous play on jin's part. bad day for him perhaps >_<
he probably realises it too, which is why he nearly cried there and stared blankly at the controls speechless.

1018 - Live video of the finals, with cameras on the faces of the two players.

1017 - Road to the finals, shows all of Fuumin's matches leading to the finals, and interviews some famous players to give their comments - Bunbun, Chibita, that Sega guy and I think some random girl who didn't know what was going on. Sega guy confirms? that cards will work with ver. C but gives out no other details.

Wow, Koedo taken out in the first round by a guy I don't know (Yatsuki), and Fuudo went out second round by Fuumin. I want to see videos of the entire tournament. Anyone know if/when they will be up?

Edit: Ah nevermind, I get it. This whole thing was called the "finals". That threw me off and made me just think that the last match was the only one included. Thanks Myke for the links! I've been waiting for this!
