King of Fighters: Maximum Impact

YES! well it looks good so far. KOF has finally taken the next step. Go Here. Hopefully it will turn out right. Man I am so hyped for this game. What do you guys think abotu KOF goign 3D and how do you think it will turn out? Ihope it does not play like those crappy Street Fighter EX games.

 

looks good. i wonder if they're changing the engine in any way as well? and did you notice that they showed Terry in his MOTW outfit as well as his traditional outfit? but i still can't help but feel a little worried that it may play the way SFEX+A did.

 

all games have the posibility of being good, and I personally enjoyed the zKOF series a lot (ralf is da man) so I hope this turns out hot

 

also did you notice that it seems to be 1 on 1 now?

 

Seems like Robert Garcia is a no show. /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif. Oh and yea It looks one on one now or maybe they are only showing the one on one part of the game right now?

 

I hate that the game is now in 3d. I loved the 2d graphics in the game, and I think the game lost a lot in the move to 3d. Look at that picture of mai kicking athena, they look so stiff and emotionless.

I still really want to play the game though.

Does anyone remember Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition or Samurai Showdown 64? I didn't think so. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Well, I'm hoping it turns out O.K. I'm just very cautious of SNK/ Playmore games since SVC:Chaos came out.

 

Umm yea I have herd of those games. I was just saying that it is the first time KOF has gone 3D.

 

the whole series isnt going 3d
this is just a side project.

Theres also KOF neowave the atomis wave variant of KOF, and KOF 2004 still unannounced. Its is more probable that Neowave version might have replaced the 2k name formatting, but SNKs been tricky ever since they came back from the dead.

/versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gifNot so bad, but some of the characters are not so good... 4 example Mignon /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif ro Set /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gifLien and that crappy Alba. Maybe this is a competition to create dreadful characters?
A game born in 2d (massimo rispetto) loses a lot of charme in 3d incarnation... Do u remember Street Fighter? The best expression of this masterpiece of game (my favourite of all times) is 3rd Strike for sure, NOT EX3 (a flop?). I hope It 'will not be the same this time. C U

 

Played it a bit at E3, it's standard 2D playing fare with the option to "roll" in 3D (down+A+B), wall effects and new okizeme options. Move properties have changed as have combos. I was using this Iori one for awhile (down+C, C, 214+C x2, Maiden Masher).

 

How did it play man? Did you like it? Was it simular to project justice?

 

holding R1 gives you 8-way step. the game's shaping up rather well, imho.

i'm still waiting to hear some info about the Capoeira Cowboy.
