Konjou's Youtube Channel

My channel has recently under gone some changes for a series of projects that I am currently working on. This is phase one and while it's not yet complete I am going to need everyone's help to finish it. I would like to take my channel in a new direction to bring people coverage and tips for all sorts of games. For now it will be mostly VF related as that's what I am known for, but in the near future you will definitely see some interviews and tips coming from players of other games such as Street Fighter 4, Halo 3, Gears Of War 2, etc, hopefully I will be able to cover all genres.

So with that said why don't you guys head on over and let me know what you think so far. Please keep in mind that this design is the best I can do, since I have no skill as a designer.

I am looking for a few people who can help me out with a couple of other things. If there is anyone who would like to help me design a better page to fit my new direction then please PM. Also if there is anyone who writes their own music and wouldn't mind writing a small piece for me to use as part of an intro I would like to use for all my videos, please feel free to PM me as well. I would rather get someone involved who can write music than use the property of a band only to have youtube remove it later due to copyright issues. Everyone who gets involved will always be credited either on my page, in the videos, or both.

Your Kage custom looks cool as shit too I might add. And the wakeup tactics are dope, and I totally agree with you, about the online part. My Sarah is built around goofball wakeup tactics and it's often times a crapshoot.

thanks for all the great feedback guys... please feel free to leave suggestions of things you would like to see to help me out.

For example... I don't know what to do against Sarah when she enters Flamingo. Stuff like that is most welcomed. Any way I have a few ideas for my next one maybe I'll work on it tonight when I get home.

 

If only my xbl voice worked better so we could discuss things like that in a player match ^^ but unfortunately for some reason I cant hear what other people say. In some ways this is propably a blessing in online play though..

If you could do a breakdown on sarah's flamingo that would be the best thing ever. A collaberation with Slide would make it even more awesome!

This! And if you wanted to take it a step further you could separate it into character specific sections on what each characters best options to defend against flamingo are. That might be a bit repetitive though because I'm sure many characters have all the same options.

There probably won't be another vid for a few days, because the next one I plan to do is on throw escaping. It might take me a bit to put it together, but I'll try not to keep people waiting to long. I think people will really enjoy what I have in store for the next one.

 

Lol @ your post edit. "There probably won't be another vid for a few.... days". You say it like people might be disappointed. I don't see how anyone could possibly expect you to make them more than once a week or every other week for that matter. I know how much work it can be. You're too fast man! Awesome work, keep it up.

Awesome stuff again. The narration is good, and in time i'm sure will be great, so don't feel self-conscious for a second, its top notch.

Suggestion, there are two huge mistakes i see in the video, and they kinda go hand in hand. They both center around the block of text that appears near the top of the screen. It pops up, and the natural inclination is to read through it, so now i have three competing stimuli all clouding one another, visual, audio, textual. (can't read, watch and listen all at the same time.) It would be better if you freeze framed the vid, popped the text up and said, "take a moment to read the text, i'm sure you all feel like this some times, its an easy trap to fall into.." or whatever, basically just paraphrase and be candid without turning into a lousy college profesor who reads his power points to the class.

The second and very minor complain is this: it say at the end of the txt, as u can see i started to get annoyed and do jabs at teh beginning of this round---it would be better if before the round you said, as you'll see in this round...etc..

Obviously anyone who watches the vid once will probably watch 2-3 times, so they'll get the full effect. But if it was formatted just a touch better, they could get nearly the full effect with 1 viewing.

Please realize this is all constructive criticism, and that i give you an A+ to begin with, I just know you want the best product possible some i'm trying to be helpful.

Take or leave any of this advice, as through 28yrs of my life i have came to realize what seems obvious to me is generally the opposite of what the masses think. Can't tell u how many things i've heard or seen and thought "no fucking way" and then they are a huuuuuuge hit. Go figure.

Nice I like the vid a lot. Hopefully you get that mic issue worked out though.

I do have a question though. How did you figure this out? Did you see it in a Japanese match and decided to figure out how it works, or maybe you did it on accident once. That's a pretty cool, albeit specific trick. Just wondering how you came to learn it.

 

Not sure how much I'll be playing unless R comes out, but just wanted to say I think it's really cool you're doing these man.
