Didn't see, or find, any threads discussing Kung Fu filcks from the 70's and 80's. If there is one, direct me there. Anyway, being from NYC, we had Kung Fu Theater every saturday afternoon on Channel 5 back in the day. And also on Channel 11(Fist Of Fury theater I believe) Thats how I got into to Kick Flicks.

Master Killer was the first jump off I saw. Then, The Kid With The Golden Arms. After that, I got into it deeply. Watching classics like"5 Deadly Venoms","Two Champions Of Shaolin","Master Of The Flying Guillotine","Duel To The Death","Mad Monkey Kung Fu","Rivals Of The Silver Fox" and of course,"The Prodigal Son". So, discuss your favorite "kick filcks" fellas.

If we're talking costume drama style. then

Prodigal Son, The Young Master, Drunken Master, South Shaolin Master, 8 Diagram Pole Fighter, Dragon Fist, Return of the Dragon, Fist of Fury

If we're talking the more modern films that started showing up around the mid to late 80's

Righting Wrongs (a.k.a Above the Law), Yes, Ma'am, Police Story 1 and 2, Dragons Forever, Wheels on Meals, Pedicab Driver, China O'Brian (yeah, I said it), Millionare's Express, Midnight Angels (I know what it sounds like, but it's an MA flick), Tiger Cage 2. There are son many more but that's all I can think of

You're a puller. You should take your sorry ass and leave VFDC. You don't have the skill or sportsmanship to play this game or post here. You need to be called out, you're one of the worst PULLERS online I've played. Have fun PULLING in ranked using your top tier character sucker...

The ultra-predictable, whack-ass Vanessa style you have makes me sick...

Whoa somebody get a tranq dart. Between street fighter, DOA Ultimate, DOA4, Tekken Dark Ressurection, and VF5 I've lost count of the number of times people have pulled on me. You wanna know something else? POS pullers don't care if you get mad. So take some advice just let it go cause playing while you're pissed off doesn't do you any good.

Who's for getting back on subject? Anybody seen Sha Po Long or Flash Point? If you can handle the cheesy drama the fighting is just badass.

Shaka Zulu is one of the WORST on all of ONLINE, that's why I called him out. He takes it to the highest level of gayness possible...

OMG yes!! I forgot all about that one! Shaolin Vs Wu Tang is crazy good! Gordon Liu was in it also right? That mustached dude (main bad guy) looks like a young Lau and Gordon Liu is dead-on Lei Fei.

Master Killer and Return of Master Killer.
All the ones yall listed, I like a lot too, but one of my favorites is not from the 70's or 80's, it's with Jet Li: Last Hero of China.
The action in this movie is crazy! The group of bad guys that all fight together like a centipede and then Jet Li invents Rooster style to beat them /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
But the best part is at the end when Jet Li does drunken style. One of the best, most violent and fastest drunken styles I've ever seen.
Jet Li's Fist of Legend's fight scenes are off the meat rack too.

Yeah man, that last scene was NUTS! Rooster style FTW! The drunken style Jet li was using.....It was more or less...Drunken Cocain Style. He was to hyper. Tony, I know you dig "My Father, The Hero".

Oooh, is that the one where Jet Li's an undercover cop? Or is it the one set in China's olden days? I forgot which one it is but I've seen both with that little kid and they both kick ass!
I wonder what ever happened to that little kid anyway...

Y'all need to watch the movie Super Ninjas!! It's one of the craziest movies I've ever seen. Once Upon in China I and II were also good. The 3rd movie I didn't like so much since Jet Li wasn't in it.

Tony, if you liked Fist of Legend watch Tai Chi Master 2 (released here as Twin Warriors or Twin Dragons, something like that). The one who fights along side Jet Li against the General in FoL is in it. He plays Jet Li's best friend turned arch enemy and the fight scenes in Tai Chi Master is much better than FoL.

There also this movie of Jet Li's that I love but I forgot the name of it. In it, Jet Li plays someone who is really bad at Kung Fu and is constantly teased for it. He gets beaten up very badly and his kung fu skill is destroyed by one of the students. He eventually is exiled from the school and meets this old hermit chained to a huge rock. He teaches Jet Li the Great Solar Stance. It gives him the ability to learn any style just from seeing it (he learns tai chi in like 10 seconds at a scene near the end of the movie). Hope someone remembers the name.

AkiraZero,

The name of that Jet Li movie is Lord of the Wu-Tang also called The Kung-Fu Master. The monk in the rock was actually Sammo Hung.

I always like a movie called Comet, Butterfly, and Sword. It had Michelle Yeoh and Donnie Yen. It was one of the first wire-fu films I ever saw and still one of my faves. There's another Tsui Hark film called The Blade or The Knife in which a guy gets his arm cut off and has to figure out how to fight with a blade attached to a chain. There's one training scene where he can't figure out how to do it then all of the sudden he does like one move then he is this unstoppable killing machine. Good movie but honestly, where do they get this stuff from?
