Lau Doesn't Have To Die! He Can Be Saved???

Lau doesn't have to die. Lau's daughter Pai could infiltrate J6. They have the technology that could cure Lau's disease. In fact using J6's technology Pai could not only find a way to restore Lau's health but to make him better than he was before. New moves based on battle data that J6 has been accumulating.

The same technology that Kage was trying to get from J6 to restore Tsukikage his mother (who became Dural) back to her former self, Pai Chan can use to save Lau. The only problem is, if something goes wrong, Lau could become like Dural.

If prior to the World Martial Arts Tournament 6 J6 found out that Pai was trying to infiltrate to get her hands on the technology, J6 would probably send Jean Kujo to take Pai out during the tournament. This would allow them to get both father and daughters battle data

Because Lei Fei secretly wants to learn Lau's Tiger Swallow Fist style, he teams. up with Pai to help her infiltrate J6. Lei Fei believes if Lau can be saved then there is still a chance for him to get The Tiger Swallow Fist style. Lei Fei also knows, that if J6 succeeds and Lau dies then J6 will get Lau's battle data, in which case it will be possible to steal Tiger Swallow Fist (Koen Ken) from J6. So whether to help Pai succeed, or help J6 to succeed , Lei Fei realizes that either way his goal of learning Koen Ken can be accomplished by infiltrating J6.

Lau's disease might have been caused by J6 secretly giving Lau a drink that contained advanced nano tech. The nano tech was designed to machine learn Lau's moves and transmit the style once it was learned. But Lau's body rejected the nano technology and he became ill. Now J6 wants to retrieve the Nano from Lau and get whatever technique that the nano was able to copy

Sometimes I wonder, if Lau already found a cure, but deliberately stays away from it, to push his fighting skills further. Then my other theory is that Lau actually cured himself, but deliberately fakes being sick.

Shun Di will have to give Lau, some of his aged miracle elixir (rum), to keep Lau alive. But if Lau drinks too much, he will become drunk, and then his drunken mind will get ideas. And then he would get an idea, to create a new fighting style, called "Drunken Koen Ken." Which Lau would call, "Drunken Tiger Swallow fist". Aka Fist of the drunken swallow! Gasp!

But what is the big deal with Lei Fei? He's a shaolin monk, but yet he has evil intentions like a villain? And he wants that fighting style for himself? That doesn't sound like a shaolin monk to me. Probably Lei Fei is a secret spy, from some old chinese secret society, who infiltrated the shaolin temple, and became a monk, just to find out about Lau and his secrets.

 

Well, it was ordered long ago by an Emperor to get rid of those that use Koen Ken.
But the Emperors in China are long since gone. However the clan that was charged with the purge remains and the charge has been passed down for generations.

Lei Fei wants to test his skill against Koen Ken, and he also does not want to see the style lost to time. Lei thinks that it can be used for good and can be taught to his brothers at Shaolin temple. But Lau would have to die for if Lei Fei does learn Koen Ken from Lau and brings it back to Shaolin this must be kept a secret and leaving Lau alive is to great of a risk If the clan were to learn that the skill is being taught to other Shaolin monks then the order would fall to the clan to extinguish once again the Shaolin temple.

So its not that Lei is a villain, but rather that he is thinking of the greater good, of the brother hood, and Shaolin and killing Lau would be a tragic but necessary evil

 

Lei Fei's story is kind of interesting. He is a shaolin monk, but a member of a secret society? Interesting.

 

...That destroys martial arts that could threaten its existence including Lau's Koen-Ken. And Lei Fei has hidden intentions to learn it for himself before he destroys the user first. Thats why he became Lau's Student in VF4

 

This is probably the most likely scenario

 

Good synopsis, but this would bring Lau and Pai in direct conflict of J6. Plus the Kage's mother ended up becoming Dural again after he saved her.

 

Lau turns into a Dural!

Lau + Dural= Lau Ral

Or worse, a Du Chan!

 

Lau needs the power up heart from Smash Bros.
Once he gets one, his life will go back up to 100%

 

Lei Fei is still part of the order of Shaolin. He wants Lau's Koen Ken. The monks may also have a cure for Lau. Certainly between knowledge from J6 and knowledge from the order of Shaolin Lau and his Koen Ken can be saved. Maybe Pai can convince Lei Fei to share secrets of the Shaolin in order to save Lau in exchange for Lau's Tiger Swallow Fist scroll.

On another note, I hope in VF6 he gets back some of his black hair colour though. Even though I kinda dig the graying hair.

Tiger Swallow Fist scrolls may have been part of Shaolin from the start, and may be seen as a sacred treasure. The emperor wants Lau dead, but Shaolin may want the scrolls first.....

 

They are not stupid to let the emperor get his way first.

In Chinese history, these emperors always had a tendency, to ask the temple for help, then after the monks help them, the emperors would burn the temple down. It has happened many times.

 

There are definitely a couple of moves from Lau's move list that I could see being added to Lei Fei
