Lau vs Blaze - match and discussion

Hey guys,

I uploaded a new match to the tracker, called "You Soon Die" Lau vs SuperGolden (Blaze)...

The story behind "You Soon Die" Lau is he doesn't like losing, and when he started to do just that while playing against me changed his PM (introductory match message to) "you soon die" in English...

Anyway here's my commentary on this old movie back when I was first dan...

I start with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif --> throw... This is one of my round openers, especially against people who like to attack...

After that, when he tech rolls I jump over him with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and when I see him whiff a low rising attack I low throw him... This is flashy and a lot of fun and probably why I wound up saving this movie...

After this I get a little greedy and go for another standing throw after he tech rolls... My yomi was good because he was just standing there, but we were in open stance (harder to hit throws) and I think I went for it a little too early... After I whiff that throw he hits me with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif throw... I probably tried to escape /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif, which are two of Lau's best, so getting hit with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif throw isn't such a big deal...

At :35 seconds I have a chance to win the fight... I hit him with Blaze's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, but get a little too excited and went for the non-guaranteed third hit... If I had stopped the combo and either thrown or done a low attack I probably would have won...

The end of the round comes after another mistake I often make: hitting a low attack and then just standing up, expecting a mid counter attack only to get thrown...

At the end of the second round (1:08) I make a few mistakes: I go for /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif at relatively close range, and that move takes a while to come out... It's much better for attacking opponents who are tech rolling... Even after he blocks it I'm safe but I don't hit check and rocket discharge anyway, resulting in me eating a major counter...

That's about it for notable stuff besides me getting destroyed by Lau's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif... I tried to low punch him out of it way too many times, and the one time I did standing punch him out of it I didn't capitalize with a good combo...
