    I was watching some lei-fei evo videos, and noticed when some lei players won, they showed off boy going into DM and doing something that makes him go HAI then repeating that over and over

    is this only in evo? and how do you do it

    yeah, it's an evo only thing, from defensive stance into.. bokutai? I think?
    He can slap the floor as a fake, or he can go from the slap into one of several useful moves.

    Is that a new stance?

    Yes. His new Bokutai stance is pretty useful. It's good for avoiding mid attacks.

    The new stance is really subtle. It's actually his old DM stance, except when you push down leifei ducks really low to the ground avoiding mid attacks. That short moment where he is low to the ground is his new stance.

    Ok what is the actual command to perform the ground slap over and over really fast? Can't seem to find this info anywhere else... it looks like some kind of cancel in the videos. Tapping down fast doesn't produce this effect?

    The trick is to switch from IN, DM, and Bokutai really fast. The entire sequence goes like this:

    [8][P]+[K]+[G] -> [2][P]+[K]+[G] -> [2], repeat.

    The timing is tricky and takes alot of practice. Just start out slowly and build your speed up over time.

    Actually the way to do it is:
    8P+K+G, 1P+K+G, 2P+K+G, 2 then repeat

    It's easier to do on a joystick btw.

    I guess you could do it that way, but IMO it's too slow and complicated. [8][P][K][G], [2][P][K][G], [2] is much faster because the stance-cancelling is almost instantaneous. That stuff you just mentioned is just a more complicated version of the "spin" dance where he twists his body repeatedly while staying in one spot.

    Yeah the version i mentioned is the "show off" version. I never use that in real combat, only after i win.
